I had this game. The Amiga version was amazing. And as a 12 year old child I didn't care at all about the simplicity of the game, nor would I have complained about the repetitiveness of each level, the music, ect. I was playing Batman for Pete's sake! Looking back now 20 years after the fact it looks pretty cheesy, but I still spent many hours playing it at the time and enjoyed it a lot. I'm just glad I never had the misfortune of playing the crappy C64 version
Funny you should mention that. I did own both an Amiga 1000 and Amiga 500 and had many games. Stay tuned for more Amiga reviews in the very near future :)
But, yes Amiga was a great computer for its time. A great one indeed. We can have private talks about good and bad Amiga games elsewhere if you would like. Always up for talks on that computer and other systems I grew up with.
A 1000? that is pretty obscure, most people either had a 500 or a 1200, must admit I had a 600 as a kid.
The Amiga was an awesome machine, it really held it's ground in the 16 bit days and faired quite well in the 32 bit years too. But sure if you ever wz\nt a chat dude!
They made that game for the vitural boy that nobody in the UK (and not many in the us) got to play and that's all I can think of. They've made some bad ports.
@ScrewAttackEurope The Yanks are stupid, I know I'll get flamed for that, but I'm past caring what people on the Internet say or think about me so yeh.
Please stop giving the entire plot of the movie to start your review. Just make comments during the game review about whether or not it follows the film. I dont think anyone wants to hear you descirbe the entire movie plot its very boring, but your game reviews are good other wise.
The music of the game is somehow too loud, I can't understand that much of what you're saying, which makes it hard to understand you for I'm no native speaker....
But the commodore was some time fault it would get screwed up in the middle of certain games only work if it felt like it. Watch James Rolf batman games review part 1.
I don't really agree with this review, it feels like you're expecting too much from a 'retro' system. You didn't cover the ZX Spectrum version which is fine, but it's impressive that it retained very close gameplay to both the C64 and Amiga versions. I did enjoy watching this review and I like what you're doing, my only criticism would be that sometimes you speak too fast, I think you should try to relax a little, but you're doing well and I appreciated the chance to hear your views.
I'm sorry, but the Mastermind mini-game part with the Joker's cosmetics seemed easy. In the Amiga version, where you lost, the right item was the green spray can on the right side of the screen.
cause the handful of people enjoy the review! Thats just one reason off the top of my head I am sure there are more reasons. E.g. the person who made the vid might have enjoyted it. May cause uninterested parties to become interested, etc.

Grr FFS STFU about the Amiga! The Atari ST had better games.
RichXbox360 1 year ago
You'd buy it if it was a bargain basement price??
The game was given away for Free on the Amiga. How much cheaper do you want it?
And please explain what other Amiga games at the time would have blown it out of the water, you seem quite the Amiga expert.

Why do Americans have a problem with Ocean? They made some awesome titles over the years.

@ScrewAttackEurope Ocean was based in Manchester, England, dunno why the Yanks hated them, but they're stupid anyway.

@RichXbox360 Yanks or Ocean?
I personally think that Ocean deserve a lot more credit in gaming history than what they got. They nurtured a lot of major talent we have today.

Useing the grappling hook is like useing spidermans web swing at those times.

I never knew what I was supposed to do on that minigame with the items until now. I didn't bother to read the manual back then I guess :D
Anyways, I played through that level tons of times and every time cleared it in the first try by just randomly choosing items and pressing buttons :)
(that was the C64 version)

the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) version was faaar superior. In fact, it was second only to the NES "Batman" as far as ther 1989 movie tie-ins.
