i have heard that adobe is recomende for only mini dv i have a hard drive camera a jvc everio will this work and if not will it take .mpg files

HI, above your timeline is a clock symbol, click that then move to the end or start of the clip you want to speed up or slow down on your timeline. When your cursor looses its red strike through hold down your mouse button and drag the clip to the right to slow it down or to the left to speed it up. Cheers
