I know that gold coast beaches will be horrible and im not going anywhere near them.

But how much does the schoolies period directly effect the theme parks? In terms of attendance and lines?

But the reality is: in the current market it's unlikely that any Australian parks would make such an investment… Unfortunately.

I am surprise you were able to sneak a camera in let alone hold on to it, because they don't allow anything on the ride not even your wallet. But yeah its freaking fast and you experience 4.1G's of Force for about 10 sec on this ride!!!

Pretty annoyed at the guys that were running this thing on 26/11/10. I have twins, boy and girl 9 years old, both are right on the 140cm limit. We were unsure if they'd be allowed on, so my daughter and I gave it a 'test run' on Lethal Weapon about 1pm, as it's not as busy and it's the same 140cm height limit. No problem, they measured her, and she was 140.6cm according to their second more accurate measuring method. She loved it, her first 'big' rollercoaster :)

Anyway, we (daughter & me) then went to Superman, and they let us on without even measuring her. Again, she loved it! So later on that day we went as a family went back with my son (who's 1cm shorter) and they flat out refused to let either of them on. When I said my daughter had already been on it that day, the smart-ass operator said 'well i've been here all day and I havent seen her'. Hang on - dont you get a break? Dont you go to the toilet? So rather than my wife and I going on it, we left.

@kirkmeister555 I would say any time that school is on. Avoid school holidays (QLD and NSW hol's are different, check both) and avoid weekends, ESPECIALLY long weekends. I went on a monday public holiday once and it was a big mistake :p
