  • no not a pop combo. look at the year 1978 this was revolutionary. It spawned fling off pop impressions but this was and is the shit!!

    Yeah, it's hard to quantify without the rest of what life was like at the time.

    Now, it doesn't sound like that big a deal, in fact Dave sounds kind of mannered and campy. But in 1978 everyone was listening to The Bee Gees and Grease soundtracks. There was nothing like this. The number of decent bands could be counted on one hand, maybe two.

  • @brewforyou Actually classified as "Punk" back in the day...but actually, how do you classify The Talking Heads? It was so "educated" and out there, I think there is no conventional way to classify them.
