But he's hit or miss on his solos w/ Audioslave as sometimes he just seems to be trying to grab attention rather then help the song. Like A Stone? Hit. Your Time Has Come? Hit. Revelations? Hit. All original sounding solos & make the songs better melodically. The original solo on this song... awful miss.

Definitely man... The original solo for this song is my absolute favorite of all time. Morello may not be the most skilled or technically gifted guitar player ever, but I'll take innovation and creativity over regurgitated shredding any day

I know what you mean. I am a HUGE Audioslave fan and I enjoy Tom's solos, but I don't think that it would have been the same if Yogi (the guitarist) had done the Tom style solo. If he had then everyone here would be posting comments like "gtfo, ur not tom m.".

Morello played a simple, unimaginative lead that's actually a redundant blues lick too... the only thing that made it unique is that the notes themselves sound like they're being voiced by someone trying to dial a telephone that was crushed and out of order. It was an old idea just made sonically obnoxious to me, but it's cool if you dig it. I love Audioslave and sometimes Morello is great at what he does. Like A Stone is a GREAT solo. I didn't like the original one here though. Cheers.

I think this (Yogi Lonich) guitarist is underrated, and you should really check out some more Cornell videos for his solos.
