  • Your joy is the joy of your partner. The joy of a man and the joy of a woman is the same joy of God. Live joyously and God will find joy in you. Deny who you are and God will deny you.

  • Like Mr. Coelho says: everyone has their own way of getting to their happiness.

  • It is wrong in the way of how disease is carried, it is in this case that is the taboo, if it did not easily transmitted disease then, it wouldn't be so taboo. Its about keeping the body clean.

  • Once i did Ayuasca......i could not go back to being bisexual......when i closed my eyes i could finally see....

  • Being a gay is a eternal condition and always will be.

There is no 100% straight person. What exists is a fear of assuming homosexuality as a irreversible fact.

If the fact your hate gay is also irreversible think of gays as a solution for population control.

  • @garotolavras you're only proving the larger point that sexuality is a decision. Whether heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, paedophilia, beastiality or sex with inanimate objects. The only thing is out of heterosexuality springs forth life while with homosexuality, beastiality etc springs a plethora of deadly diseases. Re-think your position and step away from stupidity.

  • sexual situation in our lifes are just a fact and youcant choose to love someone because their personal experiences so for that loving some one is our own feling and is wonderfull to love

  • Love, tolerance, mutual respect. I love my friends; gay or bisexual and they respect my sexual identity of being straight. (I watched an interesting tv show last week about transgender children.)

  • @mishmalo, your aphorism would make a lot more sense if humans were inanimate objects.

  • No two screws will build a house,But a piece of carved wood and a screw will do,

  • Homosexuality has been around since Ancient times. Do you want know happened to Homosexuals during Hitler's brutal reign, in the concentration camps? Millions have died for expressing one's voice;faith;or individuality!

  • Ive loved both males and females. Im more comfortable with males. Not only that, im more comfortable with black males with very dark skin, sexy eyes, thick lips. Since I have lots of these features myself, im very turned on to my own body when i look in the mirror. I know that sounds crazy, but its true.

  • I wish I was gay..

  • @dirkschuitsma Why?

  • Homosexuality is a path and NOT a choice as others would have presented it to be.

This path is not an easy one. It is crooked, narrow, bumpy and dark. Those who finish the journey with respect, joy and love are triumphant in this struggle. And i hope others will understand that.

  • @Getsurenka25 I agree with you...

  • Not everyone is meant to make a difference; but for me, the choice to live an ordinary life is no longer an option. What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.You may shoot me with your words, You may cut me with your eyes, You may kill me with your hatefulness, But still, like air, I'll rise.. I have committed no crime.

  • If, sometime in the future, near or far, scientists discover that there is a gene that contributes to the desire to murder, or for the desire to paedophilia, would such people then be accepted into society simply because it was their natural disposition?

Many things once deemed illegal, such as homosexuality are now deemed perfectly acceptable, or at least legal. Things once deemed legal are now deemed illegal, drink driving, consumption of several drugs etc.

Socitey changes as does the science

  • homem eh homem ,...menino eh menino e baitolo eh baitolo...

  • A friend and co-worker killed himself many years ago. He did what his parents wanted; married, had a child with his wife. He didn't have the support and courage to be who he really was. There was a lot of prejudice at that time. My daughter has a friend that is gay. His parents feared they might catch 'gay germs'. They believe that being gay is a sin and take him for counselling. I am grateful my daughter loved and accepted her friend. We all have male and female energy.

  • i beleive that homosexuality/ bisexuality and transgender is seen as taboo, because thats exactly what it is in a patriarchal society.

  • i never chose to be gay, but if i were given the choice now i would choose it. being gay made me who i am, and i like the person i am.

  • I wonder why you thought of this as a taboo!

In Brida, you say that a long time ago, witches were burned on a stick because they were different in their views ... in our time it seems that we have managed to find better ways to make someone suffer rather than burning ... scars of the soul burn deeper! my best friend is a homosexual and as a person living in a Muslim environment i know how much you can suffer simply because you have different feelings ... i wish people can understand ... i wish

  • You just nailed it, "Fraisierdesvosges"!

It's NOT a choice. You're born like that.

I'm a straight women, but, I know this.

Anyone, with a bit of knowledge in genetics, would know this truth.

  • Comment removed

  • @girlspring what is the genetic basis of which u speak? It is all a PERVERTED CHOICE.

  • @Trelli28 I am the one to talk! I would love it to be a choice, but I can tell you from the bottom of my heart: it's not.

  • @Honigkuchenbaer ALL BEHAVIOURS ARE UNDER YOUR CONTROL AND THE MOMENT YOU DECIDED TO SEE YOURSELF AS HOMOSEXUAL, YOU MADE A CHOICE. END OF STORY!!!

  • @Trelli28 How would you know though? :D Okay, you make the choice to be homosexual for a week or so, let's see how it goes. If it works, then I'll try the same.

  • @Trelli28 How many year of studies have you had to reach that conclusion?

How many gay friends have you talked with?

    Since have you been gay?

READ MORE, COMMUNICATE MORE, LIVE MORE and then try to say something smart and original.

  • @garotolavras what you have is a help-less victim-hood mentality. I have spoken to numerous homosexuals on the issue and they can retrace the moment they accepted that picture. Only in public among numbers do they say otherwise. Strength in numbers doesn't mean health in one's personal picture.

  • @Trelli28 I agree that behavior is a choice, but you confuse sexual orientation with sexual behavior. The behavior can be changed, just become a celibate monk or closet-queer breeder and go mad/bad from that, but NOTHING changes the innate core attraction to the gender/s that one is attracted to. So, control YOUR homophobic bigoted BEHAVIOR. And embrace *who* you are, not *what* you are or think or are or think you should be. Everything in your head was learned, but what's in your heart IS YOU!!

  • @2F51RL you are so mired in filth that you wallow in it and call it cologne. Learn some decency and never respond to my posts again.

  • Skin is skin, People are people...You fall in love with a person.

  • my friend is homosexual and since he's still in high school people are making fun of him and that of course affects him. well he's proud of being a homosexual but his confidence has fallen a lot. i think that homosexuals must have really strong peronality to deal with all the accusations and disregard of some people and i think everybody should respect them cause we're all human beings it doesn't matter who you love. i respect all people and i think everybody should.

  • Seriously, since I came out, started sharing love with my guy and started being honest with everyone I've been the happiest person ever. Even my spirituality developed. Sex is good, love is great ;-)

  • I believe that homosexuality is still a taboo for some cultures due to the fact that religions have generally perceived homosexual behaviour as sinful. Thats why so many people create stereotypes, in order to confirm their own beliefs.

  • Just let people be happy? Doesn't need to be explored beyond that.

  • is it wrong to love same sex? coz i did...

  • it is not wrong, because feelings can't be wrong. even if the church wants to make you believe that gay people are bad and will end up in hell...that's rubbish. don't care about what they say, just do what you believe is right

  • No, it is not ;)

  • Well i like women and men as well.. so i can tell you that... you . do not fall in love with the sex of the person, but if you love and like their way of being and his/her essence. That is important! I think the world is becoming a little more open in that sense but ... there will always be people opposed.

Any way Homosexuality has existed since ancient timeslike with the Greeks ... so it's part of humanity

  • first of all homosexuality is not a taboo.

    only to religous/ignorant it is.

if your spiritual, homosexuality is alright and so is being heterosexual as well

  • i dont see how someone can have a moral objection against what someone else gets up to in their bedroom and with whom they do it. It baffles me that this is even an issue. Get over it.

  • all love is good love. end of story

... how can love be a bad thing?

  • I personally think homosexuality is a label.

The way I see it is, a person can fall in love with either a man or a woman.

A so called "gay guy" can one day fall in love with a female, or a "lesbian" can one day fall in love with a man.

    Or vice versa...

I do have one thought, I can be wrong so don't take it the wrong way.

Sometimes, "gays", "lesbians", or even a heterosexual couple can base their relationship on sex and it can be misinterpreted as "love", when it is not

    stay true to ur heart

  • I wish you could be true, but being gay myself, I NEVER EVER felt desire, love, or anything for a girl. I was never attracted by one of them. Only men. So I guess it depends.

  • i have a gay friend. and now he decided to change. so he wanted to have a wife in the future,. is that possible?? once your a gay then tomorrow straight??

  • I think it's not really something you decide. Personally, I'd be delighted to be straight, because a lot of things would be easier for me in life, but I can't.

  • thanks..i think he chooses to be straight.. but then i keep telling him that he should be real to himself not just because it is the right thing to do or to make things easier as you said,,,

  • @47keiyar47 and infect the woman with AIDS? No he chose his pervsion, stick with it.

  • Homosexuality is only a "taboo" for the ignorant. I am gay and it wasn't a choice and I have embraced the fact that I was born gay because it gives me a different perspective. Who knows, maybe if I wasn't gay I would probably be judging gay people just as others do. But I am in fact gay so I understand that it is ignorant to do so and because of that I am grateful to God for making me gay. Homosexuality is a tool for compassion and understanding and love.

  • Thank you for your suggestion & I wish you the best.

  • I think that homosexuality is a state of liberation, where the oppressed almam the person is released. It is a profound state of awareness of oneself as a human being, because we know that there are many but in reality it is not, some are not in the world, just know yourself what is needed and do not dare to make decisions as crucial in life

  • i may not be politically correct by saying what i believe, that its a choice. We all make choices in life all the time, I choose to be whatever I want to be for the reason that most of the time concern me alone.

I also believe that regardless of peoples choices in their sexuality, religion or whatever we should not judge them on those choices but on their professional performance

  • I don't really think of homosexuality as something you are, rather as something you do...or might want to do...and that we all have it within us to feel and be a number of different, often seemingly conflicting things, given the opportunity. Why limit ourselves to the potential of our human experience?

  • Every person has a male and female essence within them.Like the yin/yang concept of the east. Men usually have more male es than female es which make them more goal oriented, while women have more female es than male es that makes them more love oriented. When males & females stay true to their es, they become polarized creating harmony. Today many men& women become less & less of their main es due the environment & unawareness of this es,creating confusion until they decide they are homosexuals.

  • When our creator created us he gave us the freedom to choose and he taught us how to love.

Why should people then be judged based on their sexual orientation?

Gays Lesbians Bisexuals Transsexuals are gods creation too who are only exercising their freedom to love.

    Happiness is a choice...

    These people have chosen happiness.

    These people have chosen love.

  • i dont see why homosexuality has to be a taboo. is something ompletly natural, and as human beings, they have rights too. people shouldnt be judged, and discriminated. we are fully capable to understand every single person, and there shouldnt be any poor judgement on homosexuals. we are to live freely and without any judgement nor restriction on our lives. it shouldnt matter our sexual preferences, religion, nor ethnicity.

  • What two (or more!) consenting adults want to do in the privacy of their own bedroom is their business and nobody else. Who you love or make to love to should not mean you are discriminated against, abused, assaulted, jailed or killed but all over the world ignorant intolerant and downright evil people are doing just that to other people purely because of their homosexuality.

Ignorance and stupidity and evil will always be with us sadly.

  • Last Saturday (1/10) a masked man burst into the GLBT Youth Center in Tel-Aviv, Israel, and shot 14 people, 2 of them were killed, inc. my friend Nir Katz. The man managed to escape, but clearly this was a hate crime against the GLBT community. I myself am a Bisexual, and I think that Homophobia is a crime against humanity and should be treated as pure racism. With all this hate we experience in our world, why stop *anyone* from truely loving? Being gay is NOT a perversion. Thank you.

  • I think people should never be judge by their sexual option, I respect people just because of the fact of being human beings, the golden rule for everyone is to remember that our rights ends where their right begin and viceversa.

  • @monaconda It's not a sexual "option," it's a person's nature.
