Herbal Essences is terrible for eczema. I thought because it had avocado and olive oil in it I was ok but the chemicals they used to preserve it made it horrible on my skin. I now use Organic Shampoos. The Herbal Essences gave me neck eczema and hand eczema for rubbing it in.

Toms crystal deodorant works amazing I got it for my boyfriend because he has bad eczema. I also have eczema myself, dove flares me up bad but it helps my boyfriend I think with dove it's wether you react more to dryness or fragrance.
@mxahme sorry for the late reply...didn't see it. Anyways am just guessing cause he had no reason not to give to you. It's FDA approved since the amount isn't deadly or anything.
I really feel for you. I have terrible eczema too! I just scratched a patch of hair out of my scalp. I am dying to take a bath! I have been doing the 5 min. shower with lukewarm water and when I wash my hair I just burn! I HAVE to moisturize 3-5 min. after a shower. Lately I have been using pure, cold pressed castor oil/coconut oil. Thx for the natural deodorant tip, I have been using powder, will try the natural deodorant...hope it helps, eczema is the pits! Take care!
Congratulation on your graduation..I don't like Dove the dermatology told me to use it but it doest not work for me I think St Ivess otmeal is better or baby soap..
I started using Pantene due to budget constraints and almost right away I started getting an eczema outbreak all along my forehead. Just switched back to the kind I used before after it went on sale, so hopefully it'll go away.
Canadians. I recently found a shampoo called live clean (baby). It is available at many Canadian retail stores. I bought mine for $6.99. It is paraben free and SLS free. DEA free. Tried it this morning and my skin used to be so red and swollen when I got out of the shower, but it wasn't today. I was very happy with this product. The great thing is that it's made in Canada.
i agree!! DOVE body wash is the best for eczema.. it's the least drying body wash out there for your body.. i also have eczema and was searching videos relating to it and found you. i used to attempt to make videos regarding eczema.. but i gave up hahah i deleted them ;x. anyway thanks for your videos!
my dermatologist said that eczema sufferers cant use body liquid wash, so if yours is a soap bar it's fine. but it would be better if you use the ones that don;t contain perfumes. im using Simple.
also in another study parabens were detectable in the blood and urine of healthy males within a few hours of using products containing them
anyways sorry to go on and on but going "all natural" really does help with eczema
ps i dont work for a company or anything i just want people to stop suffering because the beauty industry and such wont make money if we dont have problematic skin conditions
parabens are something else you should watch for: look for ingredients like methyl, propyl, ethyl, butylisobytyl
its a chemical used as a cheap preservative even though there are natural preservatives such as rosemary , thyme, oregano goldenseal root, grapefruit seed extract and lavender oil
parabens do occur naturally in blueberries , carrots , but the parabens in beauty products are synthetic and harmful
studies show they have a weak ability to mimick estrogen
and also to your immune system which has a lot to do with eczema !
also they did a study and it can actually maintain residual levels in the heart , liver , lungs and even brain from skin contact alone!
and im agaist animal testing however tests were done and even though the lauryl sulfate was no where near the animals eyes it caused severe eye reactions and permanant damage!!!! it also has a degenerative effect on cell membranes because of its protein denaturing properties!!
Go natural !!! im sorry i already posted on another of your vids but then i saw this and got curious , plz dont think im creepy its just i hate eczema so much and hate to think of other people suffering from it , especially remembering when mine was so bad literally it would bleed !! and the doctors prescribed me cortisone of all the stupid things to do !! anyways sodium lauryl sulfate is considered the worst sulfate
it poses threats to the eyes , damage to hair follicles, skin irritation
after learning about the SLS, i realized that my facial wash that i have been using has SLS. I have really sensitive skin due to eczema. what facial wash is a good one that doesn't have SLS?
the only thing I can use is Head & Shoulders. The dr.s wanted me to use shampoo tht cost $160, cant afford tht. BUt, my exzemas so back i cant wash my hair in the shower. Have to do it at seperate times...
SD is seen on the scalp as mild dandruff that is spread to the face, earas and chest. The skin becomes red, inflammed and then starts to flake. My doctor says it caused by a yeast growth. But you can treat the yeast growth with a anti-fungal cream. I have the same thing. I've had it for about a year and it very overwhelming. good luck to you.
Start cleaning the environment you live, get new towels, new clothes, clean them, etc. Live on a healthy environment with the less possible bacteria around.
Second thing: get ANTIBIOTICS in creams and pills, take the pills every 6 or 8 hours every day, and use the antibiotic cream every 6-8 hours also, and after you take shower, etc. Put it in all your body, it will make it go away, believe me, it worked for me.
check out bluemolases youtube video called Why Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is not good for you. I am an eczema sufferer and over the years had to trial and error products I am also current using Organics shampoo and conditioner and soya bath oil. Good luck!
pantene makes my hair fall out for some reason. i used to use it when i was like 12 and i started going like bald. scary! but the hair i did have was really shiny and smooth lol. also, whenever i use lavender products in the shower i feel like i need a nap after and i am really sluggish while getting ready. just thought i'd share that info. no one cares i know. ..... my camera isn't working so i comment a lot .sorry.
im a male 23 and im losing hair...i think its becaues of this strong itch i had ever since my hair started falling out on top. i know alot of guys go bold but when i lose my hair its diffrent..other guys dont have strong itches. if anyone got some good info to cure the itch... please write me... i think i have sensitive skin.thanx
I've found that if sodium laureth sulfate is listed as the first or second ingredient, the shampoo tends to be too harsh. I've never had trouble with sodium laurel sulfate when it's one of the main ingredients. Some people might have trouble with it though.
The worst reaction I had was a rash all over my scalp and all down my back where my hair touched my skin. I took some Benadryl Allergy that night before bed (because it knocks you out) and the next morning I was fine. My hair looked great though! It was hard to give it up, because it made my hair gorgeous. Botanicals always make me itch. I'm sensitive to hairsprays, mousses, botanicals, pump products, and anything with strong fragrance.
In summer I like VO5 balsam and protein or VO5 Normal shampoo and conditioner, and in winter I like Dove Daily Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I also like VO5 hot oil treatment that you shampoo out. Sodium laurel sulfate is ok. I've never had a reaction to any Dove products. I don't use botanicals because they cause me to itch. I avoid sodium laureth sulfate because it's harsh. I was told by a stylist to avoid aerosols, pump products, and any products that are green or 2 in 1 shampoos.
Okay...so heres the deal with Soduim laureth or lauryl Sulfate: SLS is a cheap detergent thats identical to the chemical that mechanics use to de-grease their engines and what not. Its in everything, dishwasher detergent, shampoos, etc. THATS the ingredient that strips our skin of the natural oils and dries out your hair.
And you wonder why you have to buy conditioner, which makes your hair greasy, which makes you need to wash more, and its just a shitty cycle.
one more thing i also used dove shampoo and it gave a a bad rash on my head and neck and under my eyes i harly could open them because they would hurt so dont try dove shampoo lol
dove dose not work for me it broke me out even more i just use aveeno but im not sure if its working to well for me nether so i will let you know what happends .....

About a month ago my hair started to seriously go itchy and strands were falling out :/
I was using the same stuff id used in years. Herbal essences an head and shoulders....
Strange too because head and shoulders actually helped my eczema years ago.
I dont use them anymore. My hair is just starting to go back to normal now but i still want to use natural products just incase.
Pantene and herbal essences have lots of rubbish in them! Wrecked my hair.
