these dogs are amazing and really if it was bad enough the competion would have been cancelled even here in alberta we run sometimess outside while it is snowing just in may after all the snow is gone and we have that random snow fall all these dogs probibly have chiropractors and there more then likly was a vet on site amazing vid
Whoever has been marking RadicalAndy`s posts as spam - tough if you dont like it but Radicalandy is talking sense and has a far far better attitude to agility and the dogs in it than those running their dogs in such dreadful conditions in the video, I know who I prefer as being representative of what agility is SUPPOSED to be about.
Some perspective [ I hope ] : I have been an agility instructor for 11 years and am a qualified KC agility Judge. Would I have run any dog of mine in those conditions ? Not a chance, no way, NO competition anywhere at any level is worth that amount of risk. As a Judge what would I have done ? Stopped the competition, no messing, no hesitation. I would not have re-started until the rings were moved to decent ground. For such a high level comp to not have an indoor back-up option is madness imo.
@lj7471 Dogs DO love mud and water, but pretty sure they would NOT love broken legs.........neither would the stupid handlers that are running them in these conditions like the enormous vets bills they would get if the dogs did injure themselves; still as long as they are getting more rosettes/trophies etc then i'm sure they dont give a shit about their dogs.
@AgilityandBeyond don't believe i actually called them "stupid" what i said was it makes me incredibly sad that these people would run their dogs in such apalling conditions, taking the chance of serious injury to the dog just for the sake of competing :( Glory trophy hunters IMO and i am entitled to that opinion; and yes i do know people that have got their dogs to this level of agility and would have pulled them out rather than run them in these conditions.
@AgilityandBeyond Best in the world ? Frankly, anyone putting a trophy as more important than their dog in those conditions is not `the best`, far from it, ego doesn`t = good ethics. I would have gone to the start line then said to the judge ` I withdraw from the competition, I will not ask my dog to run in these conditions` then left the ring.
@danielle199412 oh come on dont be dramatic, she didnt even realised the dog felt down, u see it slow motin but a course lasts less than a minute normally
It disgusts me that these handlers care more about "competing" than they do about the health and safety of their dogs :( I love agility and so do my dogs, but i would never run them in such conditions.

They dared ..... At this stage of the competition, we leave the relationship dogs / Agility leisure. If we're here to win! Sorry but the tender feet can stay home.
