  • Are people seriously criticizing Timba's form. who BTW is one of the fittest people on youtube (and probably anywhere else)?

    The stuff this dude does on a daily basis would make 99.9% of athletes jealous.

    Number 1 rule in training: never listen to someone in worse shape than you.

    Fortunately, there's a good solution: post a video of yourself doing "good form" zercher and let's see how you handle criticism.

  • I can't believe people say these squats are horrible. The form it forces you to have is a lot better than a regular squat. Especially when you rest the bar on your quads it forces you to be parallel.

  • hey man ive seen lots of video from u.. just wonderin if u can tell me how can i stabelise my back when doing zercher..? im still 15.. my max for zercher was 135kg n i tried heavier weights n i did like u put the weight on knees but lol i fell backwards haha... i always put it on my belly then switch to elbow.. so yeah... how did u do tht i mean stable without falling.. peace

  • Zercher squats are only for real man, and are harder than high bar or low bar back squats, so people who talk shit about this lift are only keyboard pussies.

  • I've tried these before, and I would Imagen the main thing they will do is damage the veins in your forearms. Why not use some padding?

  • @emantabrizi it is an assistance lift. it throws the center of gravity in front of you and forces you to maintain the upright posture thereby working your core and quads a lot more. no need to go as heavy coz these are just assistance lifts for the back squats.

    LOL. The guy who invented Zercher lifts (Ed Zercher) continued lifting to max with no career injuries until he died.

  • I did these for the first time a couple weeks back with a friend. It's pretty cool. Always fun to do new things. Love your vids man, keep em coming. oh and I just bought some vibrams ;)

  • @MetalJuggler Fitness doesn't necessarily mean knowledge, I'm not the strongest, most muscular or fittest lad on the sports course that I'm doing, but (at the risk of sounding big headed) I am the most knowledgeable. Though didn't see anything wrong with what he was doing personally :P

  • I tried this with 225 just to see what it felt like and I gotta say it's just too painful to be able to do 3 full sets of 8-12 with. I can only imagine how hard it would be if I upped the weight to 315.
