@iamarocker1001 press the right arrow key, go to the bottom of the list and there should be one listed music or soundtrack, hit custom music and it will open your XMB in the music section, select a song and off you go :D

this may sound dumb but maybe the PlayStation 3 can't play music in every game because it doesn't have the right CPU the Cell may be powerful but it has to send all that data over a 1 Core to the SPE's so the PlayStation 3 is powerful but if it has to much data it won't run like it should be cool if PlayStation 3 had 8 Cores,
i would be able to play music while in game while downloading and chating with a friend at the same time :P

Majority of PSN (Exclusive to the PSN) games are able to play custom playlists and even a couple PS3 games can also do the same thing but the majority of PS3 games will not allow that. Such as GTA IV, Fifa, etc...

You have to download the CAGNEY update to get Music playing in Burnout Paradise. To play your Music in Burnout Paradise press -> (easydrive) then choose soundtrack. You can download other latest versions to get the custom music player in burnout
Just press the -> arrow and look for music or playlist or something like that. Then it will say that you can use your own music but you have to have the music ON your ps3
MK vs. DC Universe has in-game music too. super stardust hd, mlb 09:the show have custom sountracks you can make and add songs from your playlist. im on that sour diesel right now.

Playstation 3 does NOT overheat, in fact, the 360 overheats more than the PS3. and there are many other hardware problems that the PS3 doesn't have that the 360 does. such as the red ring of death and all of their system recalls. and there hasnt been a single recall as of yet with Sony.
I work at Future shop, and we have had 17 Returns due to the Red Ring of Death, just this month (NOV.2008), we have had zero PS3 returns in the last four months... nuff said!

Plus our Hardware works, and it's worth the money.
PLUS, our system, will last us a good 8-10 years on the Graphic scale and Blu-Ray.
While, your going to have to upgrade to the 460 or 360-2. Just to keep up with us in about 3-5 years.

Playstation 3 does NOT overheat, in fact, the 360 overheats more than the PS3. and there are many other hardware problems that the PS3 doesn't have that the 360 does. such as the red ring of death and all of their system recalls. and there hasnt been a single recall as of yet with Sony.

I work at Future shop, and we have had 17 Returns due to the Red Ring of Death, just this month (NOV.2008), we have had zero PS3 returns in the last four months... nuff said!

1. On the root of the usb, or memory card or whatever, create a folder named PS3 (with caps)
2. Inside the PS3 folder, create a folder named UPDATE (again with caps)
3. Now put the PS3UPDAT.PUP (dont change the name) inside the UPDATE folder.
4. go to the ps3 and chose update using usb.
5. wait while the ps3 is updating and done! =)
