Did you know why Y'shua(Jesus) Chose Passover to die? Because he is the innocent Lamb of God. Just as the Jews had to sacrifice an innocent lamb when they fled Egypt(Exodus)and applied its blood on the door posts of their homes, so the angel of death would passover their houses(Last plague of the 1st born). He washed our sins away with his blood so the angel of death would pass over us if we receive him as our Lord and Savior. It was not by accident, but by design.

The bible tells that this "horrible death" is called the "2nd death". By our own standard Judas does deserve to die the "2nd death". But the problem is this, compared to Christ, most everyone deserves to die the 2nd death. Only by repentance and being cleansed by His blood can anyone hope to be clean before the Lord. Blood is the most painful and costly price anyone can pay.

A Vengeful god? If a Civil Judge condemns a murderer, do you call that Vengeful or Justice? So when the Lord deals with this world's rebellion, it is also Justice. We're not trying to make up a God here, one that the world approves of, so that the world will believe and worship. The god that this world loves is Satan, who lets us make up our own right and wrong, do as we please, and engage is any kind of pleasure. Jesus lovingly warned us that the end of that road is destruction.
