Yes, that is one of the reasons they stopped making them but they are collector items now so you may want to hang on to them. The pearl ones are beautiful but they just are not made to wear because as soon as you do they start to degrade. Thanks for watching.
I was contemplating getting rid of my ice iridium ones, as the paint has literally melted off on the ends of the arms due to my sweat - seems criminal for the price I paid that I now can't wear them...
I was very relieved at your response ... like you bought directly from their factory, mine too is original then. how piracy can often be one step ahead I'm scared. Thank Snuffy, I will try to keep my safest possible too, using my penny in the summer and winter are dark carbide lol a big hug!
Thanks Snuffy! actually you're right, they are sunglasses showcase. this situation the laser lens written "magnesium" also happens in mag four, do not know if you've noticed. some have and others do not. Good weekend to you! I'm waiting
@esternoclideo Okay, just checked them & as I thought mangnesium in NOT on the lens on either pair. I didn't think so but I keep these two in the box and air and anything else seems to degrade them. I haven't seen anybody try to make or sell fake Oakley Switch. They were just so difficult in the first place and even Oakley had to throw in the towel on the Magnesiums. My Pearl frame/fire lens are beautiful but have to remain in the case. Thanks for the posts.
I'll check them tomorrow, Sunday, as I'm at another location & don't have the glasses here. But not to worry, I've seen these on Ebay and they are genuine. Too bad these particular frames erode with just sweat or your skin touching them. The pearl frame with fire lens are one of the most awesome glasses Oakley every made. They just aren't made to wear, just to display. More tomorrow.
ok snuffy! Thank you for taking the time. I had that doubt and did not know where to turn, I looked up on google did not find anything more. like you are a collector, I thought, "I'll ask for Snuffy" I got this doubt because I saw some on ebay and others with no inscription. could it be that you said, sometimes the most recent vintages it came with it. thanks again!
Let me check out mine & get back to you. But I don't believe the earliest ones had anything on the lens, but does not mean that they are not the real deal. Bought mine directly from Oakley when they came out so I know they are certainly real. Will double check & post it then.
hey man, let me get my doubts with you. all original mag switch is "magnesium" written on left lens? I bought a dark carbide which has no inscription on the lens, although it is all original, even with some marks on your frame (sweat) exchanged the lens or some models, perhaps the youngest came without the inscription on the lenses. thanks for the help!
Hey snuffy I was wondering if the titanium frames were heavier then the regular frames. Because I know a kid who has the juliets and absolutely hates them because of the wieght. I guess that is why he never wears them and just throws them around like peices of junk he has no respect at all.
@TheSandyRavage19 The Juliets are heavy, not what you want for sports that's for sure. The Magnesium ones aren't as heavy though. Still any metal will be much heavier than the plastic frames. Want no weight at all? The Zero's are one of my favorites. Hope it helps. I don't wear my Juliets much for the same reason. They're pretty, but leave a dent in my head due to the weight!!! Thanks.
in my opinion one of the most beautiful frames oakley. by its design, are too perfect in the face, and the fact that his ceramic mantle wear over time it even more charm relic. I love them! congrats!
@esternoclideo You are so right. The pearl ones in particular are a thing of beauty. It's such a shame that they degrade over time but I keep them in the cabinet so they are still perfect. Thanks for your great post.
I've got the titanium w/ ice iridium Switch in which case I wish I would've gone with the other style. I like mine but the pearl w/ fire iridium screams for attention. The magnesium is quite the durable frame right after the X-metal series and I can see why they were $225 at the time. Discontinued and obviously not easy to come by so I'll definitely hold on to them. Thanks for posting!
please do not take this as an insult but are you a male or female ?

@Woupy111 I know I have a different voice, but I'm a female oakley collector.
