You didn't mention what you were putting in the wort that was under the plastic wrap at the end. I assume it is yeast? Perhaps mentioning you take the hydrometer reading prior the adding the yeast would have helped. Also I'd like to know how you cooled your wort and what temp you get it to and try to keep it at. Seems you misses passing on some info.
