  • My dad is Pat Smith,i grew up listening to him sing this and i knew every word..still do .No 1 in the irish charts.Great tune.

  • A good song. The ''farmer'' in Dingle was always good for a version of this song after a few pints. made a great impression through the late 60s and early 70s.

  • I grew up as a kid listening to this song,as my Dad played with johnny flynn,Sadly my dad passed away this time last year and i came across this tribute to the band,Paddy smith came to my Dads funeral and i had a chat with him,thks to all these guys in the band, he will never be forgotten,My Dad s name was Pete Creighton i always called him the king,and to me he was and always will be,on the other side of the record was my dad singing lagan love, I still play it today,and recorded it
