I hate to bust anyones bubble but he DIDN'T want to jump. He was quoted saying he got vertigo once up there. He said he tried to climb back but the could reatch the rafters. If you see in the beginning that's what he is trying to grab. He said he got dizzy and thought. "Looking back, it seems my choices were to wait for the fire department and a long enough ladder, or charge it.”
