this isn't a good sample of his videos, I can't believe they aired this one it should have been done better. I have watched several of his other videos and they are better than this one. So don't throw the baby out with the bath water so to speak. He is a good instructor.

no I think he breaks it down okay, but I think pick direction (up or down pick) is the key to jessy McReynolds style crosspicking, isn't it?

I"d like him to show us some jazz chords.

you might consider using a better teacher. I've been a mandolin player for many years, and this guy would confuse more beginners than help them.
