  • Great demo, thanks. Doesn't seem to be too much latency. Using ASIO?

  • So there is no delay, right? Like, when you hit the pad it makes the sound instantly. I'd like to use this in my dorm room to play with other musicians. Space is an issue so, so far, this looks perfect.

  • how does this have any drum n bass presets built into it? and can u play ur own samples on? for example bass drops?

  • @Vidmakr6302 No, it's only a pads, without any sounds, all samples are from bfd2

  • how does this have any drum n bass presets and can u play ur own samples on? for example bass drops?

  • Can you use custom sounds with this? or only factory sounds?

Thanks for helping. I'm just getting into music, and it can be very confusing knowing what to buy.

  • @Thehollandrocket Don't buy it, see axemansplace . co . uk/?p=147

    Roland TD - much better

  • @Shelledband How the hell is a full size kit an alternative to this thing?

  • 2:00

  • love that kick!

  • I need help setting mine up, im so lost :( what do you use in terms of software ?

  • @Shredster3000 best software to use (for me at least) is a host (cubase / logic) and a vst plug in called loopazoid! check my video

  • you rock, man! tell me something, can I plug an extension pad or a cymbal pad into this unit? does it come with a pedal of its own? keep up the good work!

  • Unlike most other folks on here you have timing. Good job. How is the response/speed with a computer? is it usable?

  • te la re comes puto!! la mia la mas gorda de todas!!tocas como un pija!!aprende a tocar la concha de tu vieja!!!

  • My favourite is the 1:58

  • на второй минуте клас!!!))

  • pretty sick

  • I cant get my Roland KD-8 Kickpad to trigger the performance pad.. It should be just plug and play right? (got it connected to the kick input at the back) ((triggers a single note when i plug it in then dead silance))

  • @Seke87 have you tried plugging all triggers in before powering on? it says in the manual, this is the way to solve this.

  • ...was a baby crying or was that just a meowzer?

  • Hey, nice video! I'm looking to buy one of these things, but I wanna be sure of something before I do...you think you can tell me if these things can do Kraftwerk style electronic synth pad type sounds? If not, do you think you can tell me what drum pads can? If you know...any help is appreciated. =]

  • does it have a jack on the back to plug in a guitar jack?

  • 1 does this have any sounds that aren't like a normal drumset? maybe percussion or just randon noises? Because i want to use this with my acou set and I want it to make like crazy random noises soooo does it do that???

2 can you send this direct to a board to play with live?

  • @garydink this has NO SOUNDS onboard.. its only a midi controller.. u need to use live just to get sounds out of it.. supply them yourself in software

  • this sounds like some Venetian Snares song. i want one.

  • can you plug a DDrum acoustic kick trigger into that?

  • queridos reyes magos: este año me he portado bien i pido uno de estos :)

  • you are very experimented battery...but my question is...it's necessary to play quite good with this instrument? (sorry for my english!)

  • this is kool as hell, nice guitar too btw :P

  • is a pleasure to listen u.

    rock on!

  • not bad, i need that much more than an mpd for playing stuff with the drum machine of reason. it work fine

  • that drumnbass beat is the shit homie keep it up

  • can this thing be used as a midi controller?

    to like

    trigger shit on ableton?

  • @Rusty2540 Yeah that is what it is. a Midi controller. He is probably running it through software.

  • I have some guestions about this pad. I saw a picture about the back of this pad and there are two trigger input and two other input for the hihat and the kick. So what input did you dug the yamaha kick trigger ? (sorry of my englis)

  • U sound great! Question. The drum sound software that comes with the Control Pad, the EZ Drummer stuff can I use that with Pro Tools? I'd like to be able to record my performance right into Pro Tools so I can edit. Also is the EZ drummer stuff any good?Thanx

  • can i have this pad next to my set and use it? or do i need to plug my entire computer?

  • great drumming...reminds me of the drumming that Bows use

  • this sound s great

  • j0w andi schono geils teil gelle ;P

    mitch

  • can u just plug in and play..id like to know

  • how do you get the kick to work through the external input ? i tryed a yamaha & a roland kd 8 and couldnt get a sound when i hit the kick drum pad...any thoughts ? thanks !!!

  • this video is brillant :')

    your style is quality man!

  • is it at all sensitive enough that u can tap things out like on a mpc with ur fingers and no drum sticks? cuz i like the bigger pads and would consider getting this instead of an Akai MPD or something similiar.

  • If you actually want to sequence and use it for your DAW, then I'd definitely go with the MPD. It's a lot more practical. This is more the the person that wants to make drum patterns but may not know how to play drums.

  • Nice video. I just have a few questions. If you answer, I will be very thankful.

Are there any good synth sounds, or is it all just drums/percussion? Does it get loud enough to hear while playing along with an actual drum set, or will I probably need an amp? And does it come with foot pedals? If not, do you have any suggestions on what to use? Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

  • yes there were different sound other than drums, pedals comes seperate may be u need amp

  • i love the style you playing

  • I'm not sure it's fair to judge the sound too much when it's recorded by a camera.

How do the pads hold up over time? Do you put anything on the end of your sticks?

  • where can i find better samples then this guy is using??

  • bfd 2 and superior drummer 2.0 have the most realistic drum samples, if that's what you're looking for. expect to pay for them though, not exactly cheap...

  • @gravyonyomomma The samples aren't too bad, it's just the quality of the video.

  • Question : can we use it for record samples in Fruity Loop for example like a MIDI controller ?

    Ididnt understand the answer

  • quick question do i need midi to use this device. also if i want to upload some of my own samples would i need midi

  • yep you need a midi tsound module to use this device.

For built in samples get the Alesis Performance Pad. This has a midi out so it can still be connected to a sound module or PC.

You cannot upload samples to it however.

  • This is the pad that Portishead uses in their live performance of "Machine Gun" on the Jools Holland show.

  • nice good shit.

Where do u get ur samples n shit from? I was thinking of buying one of these cos there like half the price of the rolands...because they offer no internal samples i beleive, im pretty sure its like usb to ur lap top or watever.

  • coo video man, i enjoy a good electronic kit !! check my when you have a chance

  • Nice, sounds good. BUT, I wouldnt recomend using felt beaters on your Yamaha Kick Pad.... The felt eats away at the rubber... I know from experience :( use the plastic side of the beater.

  • Nice video. I have the alesis and it has basically collected dust in my studio. I think with a kick trigger and BFD2, i may use that thing after all! Cheers!

  • sweet skills

  • does it have to be hooked up Via a Laptop>>?

  • hey whats the program you are using

  • tis that the roland kd-8? I have the Alesis Performance Pad and I tried hooking mine up into the kick input but it doesnt work. Did yours have problems?

  • Its the Yamaha KP65, I think. You have to hook it up to a trigger input for it to work

  • awesome video mang! great drumming. I needz thatz!!!

  • отлично!

  • This may have been the most helpful video I've ever seen on YouTube. Thanks for the demo!

  • hey man you play very well!!!

    which pedal are you using?

  • THANX! Yamaha DFP9310!

  • Ээээм. Круто!
