I try to make videos, but I can't figure out how to record videos from my computer (Mac, Leopard, though I'm upgrading it to a Snow Leopard soon). Any way to help? I've made 69 (Tee hee) videos so far, but they're are all gameplay videos taken from my mac's camera. Help would be..... helpful. I've also made some videos with my face on them, but I mostly want to do gameplay. Thanks!

I still think only less than 1/3 of you guys have followed the instructions on the video...PLEASE TAKE 1 MIN TO READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE VIDEO, and not just send me videos through YouTube messages. Spamming me doesn't help your video make the banner faster.

Nice idea and all but if you want to be bigger then up the quality of the material you put out. I don't mean that as an insult, I am subscribed and I like a lot of your play throughs. But that's pretty much it really isn't it? Playing a game and doing a decent commentary. You could up your game by following in Total Biscuit's footsteps and brushing up on your critical analysis skills? Or perhaps take ideas from the Yogscast and give your Terraria playthroughs some narrative? They get noticed ok.

@randyronald Those are pretty good ideas, but they also take a great deal of time commitment and resources to pull off. I do countdowns from time to time, they usually take around 2 weeks to really do well. I do what I do because I like doing it. Once I have a bigger channel i'll probably do more intricate things. But I like how things are going right now. Thanks for the support and ideas though! I love constructive criticism.

All I meant is that Let's Play videos are hugely popular and everywhere right now, and - although I would support your channel based on the quality of the commentary and personality over other channels - for a lot of viewers of this category of videos it's mostly the games themselves that people are interested in. By all means, advertising is a great way to get...

@SpaceHamsterGames ...noticed but for people to stick around and hopefully subscribe, there's got to be diversity in material (obviously that costs money buying more games to play and time if you are doing more than first impression videos) or a creative flare (mostly a time issue or number of people you can help on projects). I appreciate you like doing what you do and we who are subscribed like it too, but to attract a wider audience you may have to do something else. :-)

@SpaceHamsterGames dude, you're a partner. you're getting paid to do something most people do in their free time. whether or not you're considered "big" is just other people's perception of you. therefore, it's pretty irrelevant. what matters is that you have a good thing going, but don't limit yourself because your "not big yet." that's not what this is about. like you said, this is about you doing what you liking doing and helping others do it too, popularity be damned, so dont let it stop you

@legendarywar1 Actually just because i'm partner doesn't mean that I get paid. I actually haven't made a single cent off youtube, quite the opposite actually. I've invested money in programs and computer upgrades. Partner doesn't = money, especially with video games. Copyrights get in the way quite frequently, and it is very challenging to attain those copyright privileges with most games. But I am totally ok with that. I just like doing this stuff, it's fun, and hopefully entertaining! =)

GUYS THE EMAIL! Send to the email. Just send an email with a youtube link, and a lil' message if you want! If you're like me you sometimes get "watch my video messages" from people, and it's hard to distinguish what I should be looking at when everyone's subject lines are different. Send to the Email with subject line VIDEO SUBMISSION, that way i know for sure you're interested in the channel banner. Perhaps I should make a new channel banner with the email on it. Gone most of the day though. TY

I guess gameplay commentary might have some preference to me because I am in that community and want to help it grow. But anything is fair game. Guess it depends on what kind of mood i'm in.
