The US GMD missile defense system is exactly what the Americans have said it is and nothing more. It is a hit-to-kill defensive system with only 10 interceptors for Europe for defense against the emerging Iranian threat.

If it was a threat to the 6800 or so Russian nukes it would need thousands of interceptors.

Poland isnt going to be intimidated by this junk. Russia's military might is a shadow of what it once was. Russia isnt powerful enough to do anything about Polands missle defense plans. lets set back to the serbian conflict - it could NOT POSSIBLE intervene due to it being absolutely economically trashed after the fall of USSR, plus they had a chechen war going on their hands. And as of 888 conflict - they did what they wanted - fucked over all of georgian military and political power, and finnaly obtained a reason to agree on Ossetian independance, which was their will since the 90s.

Poland is totally independent country and they have rights to choose which missile system will be placed within its territory and it shouldn't be discussed in other countries.

To spead freedom and democracy you should recognise other nations soverignty rather than invade and occupy it, and share ideas rather than impose them.
