  • Keep in mind that Sakura Wars did not start out as an anime but as a videogame.This OVA takes place etween the first and second Sakura Wars games.Also,unlike what most Sakura Wars fans who only seen the anime,Sakura Shinguji(the girl who blocked all the bullets and saved Maria the blonde girl) is not the protagonist of Sakura Wars.Ohgami Ichiro(the sailor who appears in this OVA) is actually the protagonis of the francaise.You even play as him the videogames!
