@walkabout16 G'day... Yes. Um. In 1981, a Repat Pt came to my Orthopaedic Ward from Rozelle Psyche. On a Sunday. He had a Thomas Splint on his R. leg, for Surgery on Tuesday. He was Agitated+++. We Morphined him. He'd been Demob'd in 1920, Shell Shocked. In '21 a Backfiring Motorcycle put him in Nuttland for screaming at the Flashback. The busted hip was his 1st trip out for 60 Years... After Surgery, we realized the Splint had been on the WRONG Hip.
Most undesirable behaviors, often due to irrational thinking patterns, are the result of improperly processed traumatic events, especially during childhood. Many so-called mental disorders are inefficient ways to self-protect against further trauma and those troubled by such afflictions need to educate themselves about how to heal the somatic aspects. Addictions, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, mania, etc are symptoms of trauma that can be addressed without drugs.
I try Citlopram & Nalrexon last summer, that was nightmare!! 11:22 in this documentary look the same i had OMG... I will never take them togehter agin.
Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.
An unfair documentary. I worked as a psychiatric nurse for 30 years. All of us, managers, nurses and doctors strove to do our best. It is a fact that medicine does its best at the time. This film - the full one - does nothing but moan and give a bleak, untrue picture. It fails to deal with the hundreds of thousands who recovered. The staff are all negative except the female psychiatrist. Get my 'Where there is despair - let me sow hope!' for a truer picture!' - See 'Friends of St Francis.co.uk'
@Ohayohay2 yeah well ive been hospitalized 12 times, and its always a bad experience, filled with bad staff members, bad drugs, and docotrs who wont even entertain the idea that what im going through isnt what they think it is, the medicine is horid, they often break rules for patient rights, and alot of the times they are control freaks and manipulate you into doing what they want, unless just flat out threatening you, and......its full of mind fucks, sumthing sinister going on in them as well
God Bless these people. They had to go through so much. People were such monsters back then. Apparently this still exists today, but your not awake when it happens. I don't know if it works or not, but its better than being awake for it.
For the serial killers or pedophiles or mostly any types of criminals these asylum were a safe haven from prison.
