just because someone gets a job doesn't mean a company can go around ruining the environment. And if there is proof that it is actually going to help someone needs to put that out.

CBE's lookin' to squeeze dollars from Chevron like frivilious lawsuits do.They want to be a good neighbor. You think they'd build new plants that burn dirty? Are you that stupid? You have no idea how Chevrons emmisions are monitored. The comments made so far are from folks who just do not understand.Call BAAMQD and ask about how refineries are monitored.They are VERY strict. All kinds of monitoring equipment that emissions cannot exceed. I feel bad for those 2000+/- familes.

Sorry to see Chevron's "blame the environmentalists" rhetoric parroted here. If the issue was worker safety violations instead of environmental regulations, who do you think would be at fault--Chevron or those that exposed the violaitons?

I was under the assumption that the Unions were to protect its workers. I am sad to see that this dude got screwed by the very people who were supposed to have his back.

Chevron has to get their act together. If they are going to pollute more then we do not need them. We must pressure the companies to do the right thing. We truly should be getting into solar and wind. Perhaps Dennis can study a specialty in solar and wind power.  There are a lot of new jobs in those fields.

"Get their act together"? "We need to get into solar and wind". Would you also agree that hydrogen is a clean resource? I assume you would. Well, that is what this project is for, is a hydrogen plant, in order to make hydrogen for a cleaner energy.

Sounds like YOU may be the one who needs to get their act together, and their stories straight.
