Truth is that this car on (Regular Setup). at 2.3 Bar of Boost, on 99 octane Petrol fuel.

developed 850hp at 8000rpm when Rototest Machine start to read error.

For Comparison,Racing Setup (That was used on Racing Track). Max Boost is 3.2 Bar ,on Racing Fuel and with Redline at 11000Rpm.

(max rpm is 11000rpm at 3.2 Bar), and at the races Car is driven on more powerful racing fuel.

Engine peak power suddenly started to rise over 8000 rpm up to 11000 rpm

So how can only have 850hp?

Owner guess that car have 1200Hp at 1100rpm!

This car has so much Horsepower but hp is not everything.Maybe its 1200 hp but only 700 hp is effective on front wheels.And it makes Skid.So in a circut course,its slower then a 490hp Ferrari f430.Because also stability is so important.

@trbossdoggy this golf is 4wd not fwd! engine and drivetrain are from an Audi S2 and the chassis and suspension is pretty much custom made to fit Golf shell and Quattro running gear. It's been around for years this car. Dahlback racing have produced a few good creations

Last i read about this car was that it was a 2.3l 5cyl DE-stroked to 2.1 to achieve around 10,500-11,000RPMs. compression ratio 10.5:1 whilst turbo charger pushing 45psi, those were the number pushing 900hp, that was years ago that I read that, who knows what Dahlback racing has developed now...

ya i agree, he modified the standard Golf so much... that we can call Golf just by the matter of exterior (the body parts) still, by saying that this is AUDI not VW, you're right at one point, but it seems that some poeple don't know... they both have exatcly the same engines (for example golf 4, audi a4, seat toledo/leon, škoda oktavia - they all share same engine classes/types)

@1337junc Yes, some of VAG engines they share. Usually Golf´s engine may find in A3 models (1.8T or 2.0 inline4). But this engine on this golf is only made for Audi and by Audi itself. Engine code is either AAN or ABY ( 2.2 inline5 20-valve turbo) used in S2, UrS4/S6 and RS2 developed from original 3B engine.

euuuh 11k rpm well over 1200hp? Is this engine built by yet-to-be-discovered alloys or do you rebuild it every 6h of use like an F1 engine? How does the whole block even stay together at that power? GM had an experimental ecotech 2.2 dragger at 1400hp, but the water jacket was completely filled with resin and it lasted ~ 10 runs.
