On June 13th, 1964 Sam Cooke's "Tennessee Waltz" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it would peak at No. 35 and spent 8 weeks in the Top 100 (this song was the B/side of the record, the A/side was "Good Times", which peaked at #11}
The most successful version was by Patti Page; on January 6th, 1951 it reached No. 1 {for 8 weeks} on Billboard's Best Sellers chart and also #2 on Billboard's Country & Western chart {it was ranked #10 on Billboard's Year-End Top 30 Singles of 1951 chart}
This song runs out of time before the record is through. I do not know what causes it as I do not post songs on YouTube, but I must say that I prefer to hear the ending of a song as well as the beginning.
Wow i remember this song like it was jus yesterday,I know back in da dayz you really had to know how to dance with rythmn and grace to this song, or jus sit down and pap your feet and clap your hands! this was a swinger 4-real
What's with shorting the song? You did good with the quality then dropped the ball. The key to this song is the complete crazy build up that you cut. A waste of 2 minutes. There is a complete version that is close, but no cigar, as to quality that gets my time for now.
Umm how can it be a waste of 2mins? when it still is a Sam Cooke song that any fan would enjoy hearing.I did not cut anything nor did I "drop the ball" I would advise you to just appreciate his talent even if it's 2 minutes Long... :)
So defensive! This is not some rare alternate take that only you have, this is the hit that is complete on CD, MP3 and other YouTubes! How could you say you did not drop the ball, you do a good job sonically then...? This is no mecca for Sam Cooke this is just another site of lifted audio and video things with good choices elsewhere that are ready to give the Sam Cooke fan complete enjoyment.
I couldnt have said it better feel free to click that little X button to relive you from what you surely don't want to listen to as I for one do not wish to continue this childish back and forth messaging I simply would prefer listening to my 2min clip of Sam Cooke an enjoy his beauty :) Have yourself a Good Day

Never knew Mr. Sam Cooke did this, but he does it to death just like you would expect. What a wonderful find for me.

I love this. The best thing is the fact he does it in 4/4 in stead of 3/4
