Interesting video.

I am curious as to why one would choose to use a mechanical conversion (piston).

Granted the gearing can be set for a faster RPM of the fan blade over the thermal static charge type fans.

Also there are far better fan blade designs these days.

This thermal piston design could also act as a drive for a small (very small) generator . Enough for some led lights.

You already have the heat, why not put it to good use.

The Whisper GP is a LTD engine; it could run on a block of ice if you wanted to do that.
