all you have to do to fix this is

1. Turn of iphone.

2. Take out your sim card.

3. Blow from the charger and up through the sim slot.

4. Then put your sim card back in the iphone.

5. Then turn on iphone.

I forgot to add: This waring message is indeed related to a f**#ed up serial connector.

It is hardware related and therefore will NEVER go away with a software fix.

The fixes provided just work around the symptoms.

touch /dev/tty.iap&

this will immediately bring back the sound

create a daemon that call s this every minute and you're fine.

@balbuena232--- this is because this is a hardware issue due to moisture in the charging socket ! the method i told u to resolve is the software fix to disable the popup ! for regaining the volume bar u can try the following -

1. plug in and plug ot the sim card adapter again and again ! for around 10 times when the phone is on

2. to use a blow drier into the charging socket and dry out the moisture !
