I lived in Newman for 6 years. Just left there recently and moved up to Port Hedland 400 KMS north of Newman. We left in September. Yes it is very dry and hot. Takes awhile for your body to "climatize" :-) I loved it there. Usually you don't have to pay for the AC. Depends which mining company you work for but we never paid for our AC. But the lifestyle there was beautiful. Everyone is laid back, really friendly and down to earth. Always someones place to go to for a few beers and a BBQ. Miss it
Very interesting. Looks hot and dry out there, go through a lot of cold beer I'll bet. You must have to run the AC a good part of the time, what are the electric bills like?
