The sword is an akaviri blade - obtained after completing find the heir quest.

And as for locks i would've prefer to learn a lock pick spell, max alteration and in Arcane Uniersity create a spell that will pick any locks.

The Orc butler sometimes glitches in-game, at some random point (e.g. even if your out in Leyawiin doing a different quest the game could glitch and somehow he dies.) Ive seen him die several times, sometimes hes dead randomly in the roads to the castle. Hes been on the bridge to the castle. Its just a random occurence that is very unfortunate for some characters/saves. It is best to buy the Skingrad house as soon as possible to avoid this, just in case it does happen.

This is just about the creepiest quest on this game ever. I was playing it today, and I just opened that huge wine barrel, I turned around and I swear saw a silhouette of someone following me. Then I closed the door, rescued Amusei, opened the door and they weren't there anymore. Could just be my imagination, but it looked pretty real... I don't know.

There is a bug where sometimes Shum Gro Yarug falls from the Skingrad castle bridge and dies. It really sucks because if that happens you a pretty much screwed unless you have a PC. That's the only thing I know of that would make Shum not appear.

you dont have to go to jail for it. just try to bribe the guard in there and he will say no then you talk to him about the counts butler, talk to the counts butler and he will offer you a job that lets you in the dungeons for free
