You could say its looks like a Wimberley Sidekick but then again they do not have much in common other than being a sidemounted tripod head and utilizing from the same type of bearing.
I tend to disagree on your statement about the Sidekick being smoother.
Remember I´m using a much larger lens than the maker recommends exactly like I would do if it was a Sidekick comparison / review and therefore hard to judge smoothness.
Either way they are both superb for they size and worth a buy!

Looks like a Wimberley sidekick without a ballhead. Watching that I think the regular Wimberley gimbal head is more fluid in motion.
