Put lots of ice on it and rinse with mouth wash a few times a day,try not to stick it in and out so much the swelling should go down. If not go back to a piercing shop and see if it's possible to switch to a longer bar,those should help. As for the pain your having underneath its normal,I had the same thing with mine other then that good luck:)
