  • Now i should do this in my truck!!

  • Thanks Bill, you will be seeing my truck later this summmer for the Bullet Proofing. Keep up the good work!!

  • I have just done the coolant flush as your video showed. I picked up the Ford Gold coolant

and was told to add the Ford cooling system additive as well.

I also add the sinister coolant filter kit.

do you use the additive and whats your take on the filter kit.

Thanks for all the helpful videos

  • @wopperchopper I have been stubborn about the coolant filter but lately we have seen several very clean high mile oil coolers come through the shop so now I am a believer.

  • bill whats ur take on the elc coolant i keep reading that the premium gold turns to gel and clogs everything up i just had an egr cooler replaced by ford on my 2006 not too long ago and i want this thing to last until im able to get it to u for the bulletproofing prob. in the fall sometime.......i trust ur opinion immensly.............whats ur take..............thanks brother

  • @rquarantine THe Gold coolant works just fine if you fill and flush every 30,000 miles. If you want to run it for longer then the ELC and coolant filter are worth the extra expense.

  • Wow thanks bill. You know that the dealer charges you almost $400 for this? $400!

  • what is your oninion on swithcing to the cat coolant?

also rally apreciate all of your videos, they are a huge help.

  • @chubzz1 I suppose it is better, but I have never tested it. I have changed my mind in the coolant filter in the past year.

  • Is it really necesarry to use all those flush chemicals such ac VC9 etc. that everybody talks about or will just water/distilled water be good enough?

  • It's the same directions for a E350 2007 6.0 ?

  • I just bought this truck, 2006 with 17 thousand miles. The man said he used synthic, and maybe he did. The oil is semi dirty, I know this is not good and want to maintain my truck. One reason for low miles is a heavy 4,000 pound lance camper sits on the back. So far no problems.

  • changing oil, I need an oil change, any problems switching to synethic?

  • @willienunya sheaffers is the best. Have had some issues with amsoil going thin in the heat and having hot start issues due to low high pressure oil. Synthetic is a waste of money if you dont run a bypass system.

  • How do I clean and get rid of the oil left in the system after a bad oil cooler?

  • @elbusgo Purple Power (not too much) and water and drive for 10+ miles. Flush. Repeat until no more black crud in coolant bottle.

  • I'll be doing this soon but i'll be using Restore and VC-9 to flush out the gold coolant and silicates lodged in the coolant system. I'll be using ELC EC-1 rated coolant.

  • @kmaccullough You can only drain 3g at one time. There is coolant trapped in the engine and heater core that must be flushed to be removed. This is the reason for repeating the process several times.

  • Why do you turn up the fan for the heating system?

  • What about the extra Ford diesel coolant additive?

  • I thought you werent supposed to use the gold coolant anymore because they found out the silicates clog the oil cooler. I heard you are to switch to a ELC coolant

  • Do any air bleeds need to be opened?

  • @JUDGERAMBO not like a Honda or BMW where the coolant cap sits below the top of the radiator. No air bleeds.

  • i love watching your vids and ive learned alot about my 7.3 and one thing i like is you sure dont cut corners when its comes to servicing. my grandfather is a 40+ yr mechanic hates diesels but love to watch your vids too.
