I have a droid incredible and bb 9650. I love both for different reasons. I really like droid 2 but am not feeling this droid pro at all. Between these 2..Id chose BBerry

You're totally off on the keyboard. I hate my BB 9650 primarily because the $ isn't a secondary key and it's right next to the enter button. SO awkward in terms of how many typos.

If you hold down on the search key, you can do the voice recognition you are talking about. It's built in you do not need a third party app.

idk y every1 compares the pro to a blackberry just because of the keyboard. i had the old moto Q and the pro has the exact same keyboard as the Q. think of it this way, its like a droid x and moto Q were cousins and had sex...sure the kid (droid pro) is going to take the best of the 2 and blend them, but there will still be problems with it.

@M4RC14N0 I can say in my case its because this is the first android phone that had the basic features I needed to consider switching: I travel all over the world and need my phone to be my active where ever I go. Second I needed to talk to my exchange server anad have VPN, third I need to type with one hand.

looks like a nice tempt, but still isn't a BB, if you gonna go for the keyboard, you gotta make it a beast. See how the BB has the space(grill) and the Droid Pro doesn't, Mot always get about 95% there and just mess up that last lil 5%, like the Droid is/was good, but that track pad was in the way and messed everything up. my point is, if Moto wasn't gonna go all out with KB, then why would I want a lower res/ smaller  screen, get a BB or get a Droid, cuae with this you got a crap KB and screen

@GAMEBOIMARCUS I loved my 9650 - I even slept with it (listened the podcasts), and given that the keyboard is not what I am use to - in my humble opion the plus far exceed the negatives - in fact I think/know I am using way more features that my wife ever thought of - the quality of the apps and the diversity has me being able to do things I would never have dreamed of...play with one in the store and tell me what you think - I am very very interested in hearing everyones thoughts on the subject

@niemeyer18 I'd say the Droid Pro is for us Blackberry users that needs certain things but still want to play - i need that one handed keyboard - i do about 25 emails and 30 text a day - do you do a lot of texting? I would really like to have HD video capture...i carry around my HD video recorder with me I'd rather just have one device

How's the signal strength on the Droid Pro in comparison to the Blackberry? I remember my old blackberry almost always had a strong signal where many other phones had weak to no signal. Also, how well does the Droid Pro sync with e-mails other than g-mail? The orignal droid sync very well with g-mail but, other e-mail clients left something to be desired. Yahoo, hotmail, exchange?

@Terreos I don't think the Droid Pro's signal is as strong as my blackberry - I've had a couple of fuzzy phone calls since using it...and I NEVER had a fuzzy call before...

I have only use the connection to Exchange and that seems work fine with the exception of Notes and Tasks...

@ormancam It's disappointing to hear about the signal and sync with notes and tasks. But, it sounds like it's on the right track.

I'll wait for this to come out in stores so I can get a feel for the keyboard and see if I like it.
