Go lock yourselves away in your patents basements and continue trolling the internet for other bat-shit inane people to spawn even more bat-shit crazy children with and take your conspiracy theories and new age science bullshit with you.
I was going to write something about your response being typical of someone who listens to whatever the scientific establishment says. But then I realized you probably aren't all that educated on that either, you just curse at people who are smarter than you.
Here's what I really want to say:
I hope you die before you can procreate. And I hope it's in a real painful and ironic way. If only the Earth grew faster, it might rip apart wherever you're standing and send you straight to hell.
This is so sad because he is so great as a comic book artist. Comic book art is, as I argue in my video, "real art," in a "pop art" sense, in the same way that rock music is "real art," but not on the save level as classical/concert music.
But...as a longtime reader of comics, he's clearly letting his "comic book logic" get the best of him. How Bruce Banner go from 170 or so lbs to a 500lb Hulk: Some type of spontaneous generation of matter, or "importing" from an extradimensional source.
Neal is just crazy. He is a freaking comedian. I like seeing these dorks just hanging there, wanting an autograph, and he starts to talk about geography and shit. I got to remember to do that.
IT is scary to see all the ignorance so many people show that they have on youtube. Don't people know that science is something you learn at college or university, and not by some deranged moron on youtube with crackpot "theories"?
That "deranged moron" is humiliating yer fukin text books, you insecure lil bitch. I know, finding out you're wrong is such a scary thing when U have a massive ego the size of the growing Earth,LOL! "Don't people kno that science is something you learn at college or university" U just humiliated yerself: Galileo and Cassini even Newton, didnt go 2 some school 2 understand the physical world, idiot. Science is available to anyone exercising logic, and willing to observe. Why don't YOU go bak2skool
According to Neal once the wasnt just one continent rounded by a sea, but the old continents were the only surface of the globe.´The three-dimentional expanding has torn apart the continents from each other. Neal doesn´t talk about accelerated expanding, so his theory needs gravitation.
According to my theory there is no observable expanding if there is not enough variation of the pressure.
Once for example a supernova explosion that happened nearby the globe brought an energywave dence enough towards the globe. The energic energybudles of this wave pushed themselves through the atomcores of the
globe deep inside the globe (for example up to ten kilometres).
These energybudles cleaned with them energywaves coming from the atomcores. The expanding atoms of the globe that located outside this area, pushed the atomcores of that area closer to each other. At the same time the expanding atomcores of that area expanded close to each other like in cold fusion. This is how heavier substaces originate and in this case I mean the shelf.
separate energybudles of a energypulse that came towards the globe were quarks or protons/neutrons, they would have brought more substance deep underneath the globes surface. This developes a pressure that is bigger than normally to that area and this pressure accelerates the substace of that area to push itself away from the focal point of the globe. This is how the mountains developed. This excess pressure makes also the globe to expand in that area so much that it is noticeable afterwards.
Just so it's clear, Neil doesn't say the Earth is expanding due to some sort of process that can cause an increase in volume, say a phase change or even by simple thermal expansion. He became visibly agitated when this was posited to him as a mechanism for his idea. Instead, he asserts the Earth is getting bigger because entirely *new* matter is being generated within our planet. That somewhat dubious assertion is entirely testable, Earth's mass should increase over time. It does not.
And how would you know it does not? Did you perform the measurement? What is your source. That is an assertion being made, even for one who is out in the field trying to measure it. Because such a growth would not even be detectable for decades. The growth Neal says that the whole universe including your moon is undergoing is by micro increments. Even if U were in the field your assertion is too early. Such a measurement would be a global enterprise.
Ha, you got me there. Earth is actually gaining an insignificantly small amount of material compared to it's mass each day from the infall of space dust (ever seen a meteor)? However it would take roughly a 10 km asteroid falling every day for 4.5 billion years to get to Neal's growth rate from that. Also, a basic look at F=Gm1m2/r^2 tells you that if the Earth were to change mass, then it should also be changing it's orbital radius around the Sun. That'd make our climate pretty unstable!
Well, that sound like Neal may use that as support I think. If F=Gm1m2/r^2 tells us Earth mass effects climate change by orbital status, then what's going on in the world matches that formula and Neals talk. Have U lookt at the Earths weather lately? I don't think that Neal is 100% right. But he's definatley in the correct direction. If the truth were North, while pangea/subduction were South, Neal is NorthWest or at least WEST. He definatley got off South.
Please look up "regression and transgression" in a basic geology textbook, in fact, please read the whole book before accepting Neal's ideas and decide for yourself after arming yourself with knowledge rather than taking his word for it (or mine). I recommend "Evolution of the Earth" by Prothero and Dott. The rock record reveals Earth has gone through warming and cooling periods in the past multiple times (with varying severity, and without an anthropogenic contribution).
Get outta here, I've been thru Geology thru Highschool, college, plus via two siblings, and a nephew. But I caught yer point on the Earth cooling and warming thru several periods, and this is what I mean to coorelating to the orbital changes via Earth growth. Further, I am not "taking Adams word for it" as U put it. I am taking the reasoning and logic being submitted. If it were Michael Jordan stating these thoughts I would be taking them due to the unignorable LOGIC. The REASONING.
I can't talk right now, thanx for da reply. I'll try 2 respond quick here 4)Mars shows expansion. Very clearly. I don't know about Venus+Mercury. 3)Pangea is alot more believable than Rondinia+Pannotia and the others. 1) I'll look up Ophiolite and I'm not familiar w/Benioff zones. Have you seen the entire theory of Neals already or just bits btw? What did U think of his subduction demonstration? I'll try to reply more properly later
To be fair, have you actually read Sam Carey's works? Neal's dog and pony show doesn't do him justice (esp. the metaphysical matter creation bit). Dr. Carey's EE idea was one of several multiple working hypotheses trying to understand continental drift. It has long since been rejected based upon a number of lines of evidence. 45 years of careful scientific study and debate are against Neal... you may as well "believe" the logic and reasoning behind geosynclines because of a clever animation.
I don't know how animation is clever. Animation is a visual. Visuals are Math. You can't lie w/visuals, it's basic geometry. 45 years of study can easily be ALL wrong. Quantity is always overruled by Quality. U can live up to a 100 and still be a dunce; that's a basic point. 45 years plus the whole dam field MUST answer to logic. It don't matter if W.jr was spewing it out. The younger Ophiolite is not dominant to the rest of the crust's.
Hmm... that's some rock solid logic you have going on there, I can now see why you find Neal's logic and reasoning so compelling. No thanks, I'll stick to the geologic evidence over Neal any day! As to that last incomprehensible statement, check out the 23 March 2007 issue of Science if you want to see just how old ophiolites can get. Have you ever read a scientific article before? You might like it!
I won't say I'm a science buff, but yeah I read articles on science every now and then, considering that the newspaper ODDLY does not have a section on science. Hmmm, yet we have a sports section? Think about that one. As for your comment on "rock solid logic" (I like dat pun btw, very good) I can't tell if yer being sarcastic or genuine. If genuine, well then you have to stand to reason. Evidence is used by logic. This is very simple. If U were being sarcastic, then shut the hell up.
I have a suggestion. You said you have siblings and a nephew who are geologists, I'd tap that knowledge and expertise. Ask them what they think about Neal's expanding earth idea. If not them, go to your local university geology department and ask about it there. People will be willing to talk to you if you are open-minded and sincere in your inquiry. After all, it is their job to be knowledgeable about such things!
Okay, so by this response U obviously were not giving sarcasm, so that last comment was of course not directed to you. Thanx very much for that suggestion, tho U might've guessed I have tried this. For the geologist at the college I was able to open a forum between her and Neal. How that went,Neal never got back to me, but the 2 talks I had personally w/her was not very productive I have to say. I was deterred to persue the other geologist teachers there, but I'm willing to try again.
I've mailed my family Neals movie that is suppose to cover about 80% of his notions. U seem like a science buff, so if you are in fact interested, and I mean OBJECTIVELY interested, no bias allowed, then I'm willing to mail U a Free copy of the hour movie. See what U think of it. The original is like over an hour and a half. Neal only sent me the hour version, when it was in early stages. But only if U promise 2 be objective.
No he can't, Jim Lee is Korean; Karate and Tae kwon do. Kung fu is Chinese, the masters of martial art. My lil nephew is taller than Jim Lee. Neal Adams is over 60 years old, and he bench presses 400 lbs. That's Olympic level. AND he's a brilliant scientist. Hmmmm, sound familiar? Incredible athlete, super scientist. Which character did Neal Adams invent again? Oh yeah, that Bat dude! Wayne enterprise and Continuity studios, both rich business. The Batman's real!!! Jim Lee could be Robin
The guy's over frikn 60 years old. Are U kidding me? I don't know any 60 year olds pulling THAT weight; save for one old geezer in that story "The Dark Knight Returns". I don't know what gym you go to man, but guys DO NOT bench 400 all the time. Dont speak ignorantly.
You is the ignoant one biotch. First, you've got to establish that at 60+ Adams can bench over 400lbs, which right now is totally unproven. He looks like a big dude, but, in the grand scheme of things, nothing special, except as a comic book artist.
Let's see good old Neal in the UFC ring with Tank Abbott, a 40 something UFC washup who is on record as benching over 600lbs. Neal wouldn't last one second with him.
How am I the ignorant one when you JUST told us that 400 is pushed around in a gym all the time? Did I say that? NO. Who said it? The ignorant bitch! Dont try to deny it, writings on the fukin wall, fuck face. And now U try to change subject to UFC?? LOL! Secondly, I dont need 2 establish nothin, Neal benches 400 lbs. it's even been published in numerous magazines. Go look it up yourself dumbfuk, I ain't doin yer homework. U want me spell your name on your checks too? it's I-D-I-O-T.
...And wait a minute, this T Abbot only benches over 600? That's actually equal to Neal Adams if Abbot be doin only one rep. Actually not even equal, since Adams in 20 years plus! If 600+ is only one repition for Abbot, then by math U just owned yourself.
errrr...YOU were the cat who 1st called someone an "ignorant bitch", gee I wonder who got all "riled up" Jack? And, if I'm gonna believe you, then you got some pro-worthy wieght lifters at that gym. Show me a 60 year old who does Adams wieght lifting. Show me punk
Huh. What exactly of Neal Adam's ideas doesn't make sense to you? It seems fairly simple and obvious enough. Whatever I missed I'd like to hear it, if you would of course.
SEEMING simple and obvious is the art of the accomplished charlatan. It is the classic vehicle by which he successfully convinces. Neal Adams persistently and stubbornly exhibits an astonishing ignorance of even the most basic principles of geologic science. Disregarding modern seismic data and talking about tectonic theory can be compared to a meteorologist using a farmer's almanac to predict the weather and ignoring satellite data. This analogy is appropriate.
Okay, but I still haven't been pointed out to what I missed. You gave me a metaphor and an expressive comment. If U could stick with delivering the objective ideas that counter HIS ideas which appeard objective to me, I'd like to be informed(Adams cant be 100% right of course, but he certainly seems onto something)
all i hear is biased opinion in the skepticism from commenters, neal provides plenty of ACTUALY SCIENCE to back his claims and theories.all while being humble and calm,he isnt just throwing out scandelous, crackpot theories that have no scientific merit like the skeptics would make you think he is actually very intelligent and always reminds the people who he speaks to that he might not know the answer to every question.
Um, what about thinking the Earth was once 1/8th its present size is not crackpot science. It would require disbelieving in mountains of geological data and throwing out much of what we know in physics and astronomy. The reason for holding this theory? Supposedly the plates fit together nicely. But the thing is, it's not that great a fit. So lots of reasons to disbelieve and nothing much to believe. Sounds crackpot to me.
you obviously don't understand.mountains are not a problem for his theory, infact they are only explainable by his thoery, make a fist(see how smoothe your knuckles are)now straighten your fingers and your knuckles turn into mountains.you see, when the top most area of a stratified surface expands the material closest to the top will rise in areas where it is being forced together, mountains!revision is good, that is what science is all about, take for example when we found the earth wasn't flat!
You obviously are not much on reading comprehension. Not literal mountains, mountains OF EVIDENCE. And for what it's worth, the patterns of mountain building we see don't match his or any expanding earth model. Science is about testing theories which fit the data. This theory doesn't even warrant occam's razor.
you lost, stop crying about it and acting as if you are better read than me.
sorry i didn't give your little comment more time than a quick read-through but it wasn't terribly interesting or factual so i guess i kind of rushed it.
the only data his theory doesn't match with is the data based on other theories that are by my own account and the account of many other intelligencia half-baked.
That I actually read the comments I respond to makes me better read. Further, I understand what I've read on the matter. Data is not based on theories. Theories are based on and confirmed by data. Magnetic and mineralogical patterns in the rock, seismic patterns, fossils, and gps data all confirm the model of plate tectonics.
either way i'm sure you have a problem with his thoery based on some notion that the mountains couldn't have formed or some dumb shit like that.you sounded pretty stupid so maybe i didn't get your little metaphore because i wasn't generally interested in what an idiot has to say.
fossils, why do we find the odlest on land?
care to explain dinosaur extinction? say meteor and i excuse you from the discussion.
Hey Guys! (not sure if last post went through) Sorry bout that. I had just been banging my head with him on another video forum and my brain felt numb to the point i couldnt register sarcasm, Sorry. He's on a forum for one of his videos (the one with the most views) and has locked horns with a few other geos, but won't seem to let up.
More like he utterly horrifies us with his worship of a completely dead hypothesis and fundamental ignorance on the subject of Earth science and physics in general. It was like watching a train wreck... you can't look away even though you absolutely want to.
Glad to hear that we're on the same page, but I'm afraid that you missed the sarcasm in our title (which we felt would be obvious). The woman is a geochemist, one guy is a seismologist, and the other studies remote sensing on Mars. We're all fully aware of the persistent absurdity of Neil Adams' pseudoscience.

Good, now we can talk evidence against Neal:
1) There are oceanic rocks found in continental strata older than those in ocean basins see ophiolite.
2) Subduction zones are real, e.g. Benioff zones and seismic tomography for starters.
3) Suture zones: yes, the continents do fit back together, but in more ways than one (see Pangaea, Rondinia, Pannotia).
4) Planetary geology - why don't Mars, Venus, Mercury, and moons have expansion signs?
5) Low mass planets lose their atmospheres quickly.
6) Etc.

This theory doesn't even warrant occam's razor.

you lost, stop crying about it and acting as if you are better read than me.
sorry i didn't give your little comment more time than a quick read-through but it wasn't terribly interesting or factual so i guess i kind of rushed it.
the only data his theory doesn't match with is the data based on other theories that are by my own account and the account of many other intelligencia half-baked.
thnx

That I actually read the comments I respond to makes me better read. Further, I understand what I've read on the matter. Data is not based on theories. Theories are based on and confirmed by data. Magnetic and mineralogical patterns in the rock, seismic patterns, fossils, and gps data all confirm the model of plate tectonics.
Maxdwolf 4 years ago
either way i'm sure you have a problem with his thoery based on some notion that the mountains couldn't have formed or some dumb shit like that.you sounded pretty stupid so maybe i didn't get your little metaphore because i wasn't generally interested in what an idiot has to say.
fossils, why do we find the odlest on land?
care to explain dinosaur extinction? say meteor and i excuse you from the discussion.

i gave this another thumbs down....the guy didn't get he was talking about MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE...haha. what a maroon.

Maroon is a very nice color!

Not really wisdom, Carey's ideas have been discredited. What were they doing for their Ph.D, medieval folklore?

Glad to hear that we're on the same page, but I'm afraid that you missed the sarcasm in our title (which we felt would be obvious). The woman is a geochemist, one guy is a seismologist, and the other studies remote sensing on Mars. We're all fully aware of the persistent absurdity of Neil Adams' pseudoscience.
