@nastycop - Around 2-1/4" in the rear and 1.25" in the front. The kit was purchased from JTS Venom Performance. It looks lower because I wanted 305/45s instead of the stock rubber band (feel every bastard bump) 305/40s. Fills in the wheel well better, offers a smoother ride and the rears have larger meat for better wall flex under hard acceleration. Cheers!
@665johnnyd - I thought me and my Dad did pretty well considering it was our first video. Before you judge, be sure to check out the 3 or 4 Batram videos that followed, we got better after each video. Not bad for home made and it beats half the shaky shit posted on this site via mobile phones hahaha. Cheers!!
@Drummerguy2009 - Hahaha, or what?! This IS a Night Runner, why would I lie? I've got nothing to prove. It's # 384/400 (Dodge only made 79 of the 400 planned). 1 of 79, now 1 of 1 and dare I say it, more well known than any Night Runner could ever be and it's still a Night Runner. I built this truck for me and I'd say you'd be in the very small % that would prefer a stock Night Runner over The Batram LOL. Anyhow, it still maintains all the Night Runner extras bar the sissy rear 1/4 decals.
@Carlwalski To each his own good sir lol, I just enjoy going around and people asking me "What is a Nightrunner?". I hope you keep her running for a long, long time.. I plan to.
@001chatlos001 I was wondering the same EXACT thing? wtf? it's an American made vehicle. I didn't know that they would have a right hand side available
@TeenageDrifter - Guys, it WAS a LHD vehicle, they never made RHD SRT/10 Rams. In order to be "legal" in a RHD country, it MUST be converted to RHD. Buying this truck and converting it to RHD was only the beginning, not easy or cheap to do. Then on top of that......customising it. As mentioned, this topic comes up often so anyone still confused, check out carlwalski, com for info on the conversion, photos, specs etc. Cheers!!!
Is this a 2006? I got one an '06 and would like to put up a video with background music like you have but don't know what kind of equipment to buy. What did you use?
@90barns - Hi, yes, it's a 2006 Night Runner Edition SRT/10. I just used a small Canon video camera and the free Windows Media Gallery "Make a Video" tool to do all my videos. Just a little time, effort and OCD to help lol. Cheers!
@09BertoSS - This is just the first video, the first I ever made. There were 2 others made after it and there will be one more made when the new video is released at night, in the city area. Kinda hard to do a city shoot, lol, I'm no production team haha. Plus, it's better than taking shaky, shitty footage up the drive or in the garage revving it, etc.
@travion92 - Um, cool? lol. I looked at it ages ago on other vehicles back when I was younger but I wanted the blackest. Flat/Matt/Satin looks too grey for my tastes and the theme of this vehicle (BLACK/Stealth). Slam some vids of yours up. ;-) Cheers!!
@RepphxAZ - Nope, not at all, tints help cooling. New Zealand has nice temps, not too hot, not too cold (where I live). Summer temps average from 65F to 85F so it's just right.
That truck is so sick. I love how blacked out everything is. So do you have to buy those headlight and tail light covers blacked out already or can you tint the stock ones like you can a window?
@ehinchy1@ehinchy1 - Thanks for the compliments mate! I sprayed the taillights with VHT (10-12 coats) and the front headlights are custom made, all blacked out inner housings with headlight covers on top. As all my videos say, check out Carlwalski,Com ALL the information is available there. Cheers!!
this is a bad ass truck. You should put a h.i.d conversion kit for your headlights i think it would look more sicker. It sucks you live in New Zealand cause over here in the states someone has a chevy c1500 truck and he made look like the joker. it would be cool if yall both took pictures battling it out. lmao
@vivalafiends - Thanks man! I have HID custom blacked out headlights under the covers. Both the headlights and foglights were converted to 6000K HID lights, HEAPS better than stock, love it! I use the covers because the truck HAS to be black/stealth and nothing is blacker than the headlight covers. Cool! I think I've seen it? I know we have a little Joker truck here but it's a little Jappa thing, not a big US truck, which IMO it has to be, to be in a duel with The Batram. cheers!
@HogSlayer903 - Bwahaha, gay?! LOL!!!!! Those covers make that front end mate, yeah, lets have a completely black truck with crystal and amber headlights lol. Now THAT would be homosexual.
@Carlwalski Then I'm guessing you're not from America because here in the U.S. you'll never find a sport truck in a magazine (ex. Truckin', Street Trucks) or a well known car show that has headlight covers. You can get projector headlights or carbon fiber ones that would make it look better and not be laughed at if the guy decided to put it in a car show...
@HogSlayer903 - I live in New Zealand and I'm 100% Kiwi. Hahaha!!! I couldn't careless about what they put in magazines lol, I'm not a sheep and build them for me, no one else, car shows or awards (although this did take out the Viper Truck of the Year 2009) but I was voted in, didn't enter it. FYI: there are custom blacked out headlights under the covers, which can be removed in seconds and TO ME (and 99%) of people who see the truck & commented, they kick arse. To each his own.
@Carlwalski Hey man, I wasn't talking shit about your truck. Overall I think you did a hell of a job on it. I'm personally just not that big of a fan of headlight covers. Why would you want to cover up something that already looks badass? That's all...
@HogSlayer903 - No worries mate, thanks. Again, this is just your opinion though lol. Why? Because they are not 100% black. The custom lights look good but they are not BLACK enough and were only made so when I "have" to remove the covers it still looks "somewhat" all black. The Batram (like any respectable "Batmobile") is COMPLETELY stealth and the headlight covers finish it off. Trust me, when this thing rolls down the road, nothing stands out.....it's just a big, loud, mean, black mass!
who needs a halloween costume to go trick or treating in when you can drive this truck to someone's doorsteps with the lights off! this thing is scary enough! great job.
@Snakes709 - Professional RHD conversions happen in all RHD operated nations. Yup, it c ost quite a bit lol but yeah, it's necessary to own it it in the land of the RHD. Long story short, in New Zealand (where I roam) if it's older than 20 years at time of import, it can remain LHD. So, as of today, anything newer than 1990 must be converted to RHD. Classic MoPar muscle is fine as-is, LHD. Cheers!
@Carlwalski ah, im picking up a srt-10 tomorrow, was hoping to pick it up today but wasnt ready...still needs to be cleaned and whatnot. I think your truck looks amazing, good job.
@Snakes709 - Sounds good man, what year? RC or QC? They are a blast to drive and without a doubt the most fun vehicle I have ever owned. It shocks people how fast it is, like the SRT8 Jeep shock. :-) Ps: This video is the first one I I ever made, a little old now! Be sure to check out the latest one made a week or so ago called: "Batram - The Dark Knight", MUCH better!! Cheers
@Carlwalski yea i seen that video as well, came across the link on the srt-10 forums. I'm getting a red 05 QC. Already has intake, magnaflow exhaust and sound system in it. I have a nitrous kit i took out of my 370z, Thinking if i should put it in the truck or not
@Snakes709 - Awesome man, enjoy it, they're a blast!! Can't comment on the NOS stuff, not a fan myself, heard some real horror stories. Get used to torque before you start modding too much. Cheers!
@Carlwalski exactly why im having doubts if i should put it in or not. Want to get use to the truck first of course but i know alot of things could go wrong, bigger engine, more parts to replace.
@dangershark2 - Thanks! Estimated at 600+hp (445+kw), 840N.m (620ft-lb). On paper at sea level it's an 11.8-12 second 1/4 truck and can do 0-100kph in around 4.2 to 4.3 seconds. Not bad for 2.3 tonnes of Ram!
Thanks! I thought about it during the build but, I want this truck to keep it's "soul" and heritage. The engine (Viper) is what these trucks are about, I want people who see the truck to keep that in mind lol.
Thanks mate! Not sure yet, no rush, got a few ideas in my mind so the new vid will take longer to do. I hope to get better at making videos as I progress, hopefully within the next few months.
Shucks, thanks mate. No reason why you can't! All I used was a Canon FS100digital video camera (tiny, nothing too flash or expensive).
