I only used one banana but it was still masking the other flavors. Now I have MORE energy than I did with coffee.(coffee made me feel like crap anyways, I don't think my body could digest it well). But these things are amazing!!

I make smoothie every alternate day using VitaMix 5200 blender. my common recipe is Kale, spinach(frozen), banana, blueberry or strawberry, pears or peach, Kiwi, and three good size carrots, honey, whey powder 1tbsp, water. With kale I cut out the stem and blanch for 5 seconds on boiled water to cut down the raw smell and then dip in cold water and throw in the blender

Fruits and veggies shouldn't be eaten together. They each require a different enzyme to digest them. When eaten together they don't digest properly, thus producing flatulence. Fruit should be eaten by itself on an empty stomach or at least four hours after a properly-combined meal. If fruit is eaten in the morning on an empty stomach, it digests quickly and another meal can be eaten within two hours.

Bananas only have 95 calories.
The ENTIRE batch of smoothie would be 285 calories, and considering the nutritional value and taste, it is well worth it.
