Women should pretty much either stay home, or stick to secretarial type positions. I guess I'll vote libertarian. If they continued to employ 30k US workers, then every HP employee would have been out a job. The real problem here is that government practices in California and the United States has caused it to be more beneficial to employ overseas, including transportation of goods.
Businesses must be practical, I don't really blame someone for being practical.

Not only that, but California which has been controlled by Liberal Dems for such a long time, has been very unfriendly to businesses with its high taxes. When she left in July 2005, HP's stock was valued at just $20 a share

Boxer's claims regarding "jobs" are a complete lie. She's a job killing liberal who has taken the best state and made it among the worst. She is one of the reasons the whole nation has seen economic growth come to a virtual halt. It costs an additiona $1 billion to build a chip plant in the United States, it's the people like Boxer who are responsible for this, not CEO's of companies who are trying to maximize profits.

I worked at HP as a manager during the Fiorina years. I admired her then and I admire her now. She streamlined HP into a competitive position in the industry . Political infighting took her out, but no one changed course when she left. Boxer has lived off the public long enough.
Outsourcing is a complex topic, and it can be argued that forcing high labor costs on US companies makes products uncompetitive everywhere. Clinton knew that, which is why it boomed in the 90s.

@Fringe111 This business (the US Government) needs to tighten its belt and make cuts in programs that have the least impact on the people, Like staff members, last year Boxer had a staff salary of $4,352,202 that is almost 4.5 million and may be more than that this year, she is already at 2.1 million for the dates of 10/1/2009 – 3/31/2010, the house and the senate need to cut this to a reasonable rate.

Please vote Boxer out, regardless of what you think of Fiorina. Get rid of these horrible incumbents. We need to stop voting these people in for additional terms when we dont even like them simply because we think the opponent is not so great. we most all agree that this incumbent is no good - or at least that the current politicians aren't getting the job done. lets try someone else! if she fails, we vote her out too. New senator every 6 years until someone gets it right. then they'll get it.
