@MASSIF101 engagement is such a funny word, it has so many different meanings and uses in english, each one would require a different word in spanish.
Very interesting video, never saw it that way. I guess its a blow-up mind idea, especially for those born in the U.S. who "think" their are so free... but governed by a demon system, since their born... scary. Makes our lives just like... simulations, dosent it?
Revolution-as-dialectic is not conceivable in a post-industrial context because information technology has resulted in the almost-complete virtualization of History-as-causality.
Those of us who wish to *turn all authority on it's head* and put an end to *currency* and *commodity exchange* should keep in mind that social uprisings tend to spread *non-linearly,* multiplying themselves like the cells of the human body. A 'Revolution' against mass post-industrial society consists of first dispensing with the notion of 'revolution' only to resurrect it later in a modified form: the *social insurrection*.
Situationist ideas are a decent starting-point from which to critique post-industrial capitalism from the perspective of what Adorno later called "The Culture Industry." Having said that, the ties of the Situationist International to Marxist 'organizing' principles cannot be ignored if the goal of one's analysis is indeed a radical critique of mass society as a whole.
Brillant! Not sure if you articulate the whole Situationist Ethos, but this is a fantastic surrealist take on Alice in wonderland in the society of the spectacle!
Absolutely hilarious. You really did a good job voice-acting and everything. I'm still confused about what the spectacle is, but whatever it may be, I'm sure this video is part of it.
Ed Winn (who was also in Mary Poppins) did the voice of the Mad Hatter. Cheshire cat sounds like some other disney characters and a person named: Dink Trout did the voice of the small king(which was pretty funny from reading the voice cast.) Kathryn B. Did both the voice Of Alice/Wendy and Isn't on the dvd the newly dicovered Cheshire Cat song I'm odd?
THE VOICE OF THE CHESHIRE CAT, IS ALSO WINNIE THE POOH AND Kaa(the snake) From the Jungle book, Mr. Stork from DUMBO, The Adult flower in BAMBI and Many More... His Name is Sterling Holloway. His Voice is Awesome.
woah man... thats fantastic! well done... one does wish there were more than two.
question - do you have this version of alice in wonderland in full on your computer? i really really need it for a project, but i cant find it anywhere... can you help me out?
I'm adding a comment to show some level of recent engagement with this video.
