  • woah..thats creepy O________O

  • Interesting. Wondering how many of them developed cancer from the extreme exposure to X-rays.

  • I'm suffering from "Embouchure Collapse" now... T.T As a trombone amateur, I really hate it!! >.<

  • i play the trumpet

  • @NIKKI13213 yay me too! :D

  • buen vídeo

  • I know what I'm looking for. The change of shape and how much it fills the mouth, is a basic aspect of good brass sound. Since this player seems to have a very good sound, I "KNOW" that the player is subtly adjusting the shape of the tongue. I can see some quick movement of the tongue right after the attacks. There may be less adjusting for the trumpet player than the horn. Size of instrument matters. Higher instruments likely need less adjusting.

  • Triple tonguing was funny to watch. Very interesting vid. Tongue was back - TA. Really opens the throat.

  • awesome!

  • I notice a couple of things:

One--The tongue is constantly adjusting depending upon where the note's fundamental frequency is going--for higher notes the tongue is somewhat more "up" in the mouth cavity, making the mouth have a smaller area. In lower pitched notes the tongue moves out of the way (downward flattening) giving more interior area in the mouth.

Two--The portion of the palette which acts to close off the opening to the nasal sinus plugs up this sinus opening every time during play

  • how did you manage to notice the change in tongue shape? I couldn't notice any major change. They just seem to say the same.
