  • @TheSmartjackson J33R Driver and i think he uses king cobra shafts? idk...

  • @LardmyButt thanks mate, might be getting a J33R with Aldila "By You" shaft so was just curious

  • @TheSmartjackson nice choice aldila makes great shafts..... i use the voodoo on my hybrid.... just a great shaft... If your interested in drivers, there's always bridgestone, but a nice driver like a callaway diablo would also work

  • if you pause it at 0:07 you can see all callaway clubs

    Good golfing FRED in 2011

  • Fred doesn't use a Bridgestone driver. He used a TaylorMade r9 460 in every event in 2010.

  • @therealnattysurf thats bullshit.....he plays a bridgestone driver bc i was standing next to his bag this yr during The Players and i saw him pull out that driver....you fucking dumbass...why the fuck would say something sooo stupid????

  • @gatorsjf because I am right. Darrell Survey tracks tour player usage and Fred used a TM driver in all of 2010. You must have saw him in 2009. Just look up 2010 photos with him driving. Now who is the dumb@#$!!

  • @therealnattysurf Give me one piece of evidence that supports your ridiculous claim besides some bullshit darrell survey....you're a fucking dumbass!

  • @gatorsjf - how lazy and disfunctional are you? go to google images and search Fred Couples 2010.

  • @therealnattysurf I think it was 2009

  • IDK why he keeps a 20 year old wedge???

  • @JAKEHARRIS281 cos he is Fred Couples...need i say more?

  • "...and even heavier"

  • "always has nine in the bag. gets me through the round"

yeah right, as if you would need all of em

  • @aloefgren haha sooo truee i bet he only uses one, maybe two bc the fist one got all scuffed from all the use

  • Mixed wedge sets r the best I do that too except I have titleist taylormade Nike

  • if you pause at 0:07 there are some callaway irons in there too =P

  • dude definitlet tour burner i have burner plus and ive looked at the tours

  • wait, is that a tour burner in his bag?

  • 1:41 hahahah he looks like an asian

  • Is this guy gay? the way he moves, talks, and walks suggests that

  • @Gyro911 Dude, Freddie gets all the chicks. If there's blonde country club sexpot somewhere, Freddie can bang her.

  • @Gyro911 i think you're just gay for him

  • @dschultz6072 Im gay for his swing, i wish i had it when i play the course lol

  • @Gyro911 Uh no

  • prettiest golf swing ever

  • superglue? thats not safe freddie...

  • @rightyourwrong lol yes it is, superglue was originally used in the medical field.

  • @bumblesbounce54321 still recommended for campers or those out in the sticks away from help.

  • You know that Fred uses a superglue to save his thumbs?

  • @bassalthetime Dude hasn't use the Bridgestone Drivers forever - not even their latest J38. He still games TM drivers. He does use their irons and balls, though.

  • If you post at 1:40 Fred showa another application. Who knows waht that is?

  • if you post on 1:03 Fred is talking about "superglow". Who knows what it is ?

  • @tomdebeck SUPERGLUE

  • @tomdebeck

He actually is saying "Super Glue" but with a little accent of some sort. He uses it to glue his thumb cuts closed. They use it a lot in the ER for smooth razor-like cuts.

  • @swingawaysmooth Does he actually glue inside the cut? Couldn't there be like a poison in the glue that could get in the cut or something?

  • @JAKEHARRIS281 He does. I've done it for a while now for finger or hand cuts where band-aids don't stick very well. He uses Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips, btw. Sanding works on those pretty well because it removes the layer of hand oils and dirt that buildup and make the grip slick. As far as the driver is concerned, I just saw him in the senior skins game (playing not very well) and he was clearly cleaning a Taylormade R9 driver. I rewound it and paused it just to make sure.

  • @swingawaysmooth How do you know he uses those grips, tour velvets?

  • @JAKEHARRIS281 I can't find the reference but I remember reading GP Tour Velvets reversed (logo on the back side of the club). I remember it because that is the one grip I cannot grip at all in the summer with the humidity. I read that he has bigger hands in the same article so maybe that makes the difference.

  • @JAKEHARRIS281 Yes that would be exactly the reason to use super glue. Although if a blister actually breaks open and rips off, putting super glue over the raw skin after you clean it can help you continue doing whatever you are doing without pain or infection. The compound in the super glue (cyanoacrylate) supposedly stops the cut from bleeding, also. It wears off in a day or two on its own. The exact product they use for surgeries is called Dermabond.

  • @swingawaysmooth So is there a difference between dermabond and superglue or does it just come in fancier packets and cost ten times as much?

  • @tomdebeck superglue you idiot.

  • The in my bag song is a bit fruity. But nonetheless a good video.

  • at 0:8 he has callaway irons, the prototypes and an x forged it seems to be.

  • Freddy is the man! I love that face he makes at :12 and it pauses on it!

  • does sand paper really help your grips?

  • @TheGolfers4life - Definitely! I have a few sheets of sandpaper in my bag and when my hands start to get sweaty I rub my grips and wipe my hands and it grips perfectly! I dont use a glove either!

  • it's just ever so possible that if i had the same gear as fred i might not play exactly like him. just sayin.

  • Freddy is king!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he's so simple and so humble. i mean, he doesn't even tell us the models he uses, just who makes them. he's been my favorite player for a long time and it just goes to show this game is a lot less technical than most people think

  • He is one of the few remaining PGA Tour pros who does not wear a glove at any time. Fact.

  • That glue tip is hilarious, but seems to do the trick :)

  • look at his face when he pulls out the driver at 0:12 ... priceless

  • pause at 0.04 he has destroyed that callaway wedge !!

  • @CallawayGolfer123 thats a cleveland.

  • the little video clip early on has cally x-protos and 09 x-forgeds in them.

  • @hunterdc1 i know thats funny

  • The "Bridgestone" irons are not a oneoff of those lynx parracraps. they look nothing alike, and that would be saying all forged irons are one offs. your wrong.

  • The tour burner is his 2/3 iron. Don't bother trying to purchase his "Bridgestone" irons. They are simply oneoffs of his Lynx Parallax irons that he had so much success with in the nineties.

His Driver is an older model Bridgestone of 400cc.

  • funny how he says he has "always played with bridgestone" I know for a fact that isn't true because I followed him all through the 80's and 90's and I've seen him use Lynx irons, Tommy Armour irons, etc.....

  • Hey played with the TM 300s for quite a while too before Bridgestone came alone...he was in contention at Augusta a few years ago with a discountinued 510TP driver too..

  • @W0weeZ0wee he is talking about when he was with bridgestone he always used bridgestone j36 irons

  • How can you demo bridgestone irons if there is no demo day near you. can you get them sent to u somehow. I have done this with tennis rackets and wondered if it could be done with golf clubs

  • pause it at 0:07, whos bag is that coz it sure as hell aint freddies

  • Yea, seriously, looks like maybe Phil's bag in a mirror image, or maybe Ernie?

  • If you pause at 0:24 you con see a taylormade iron.

  • @Fressnillo if you pause at 08 its callaway irons

  • @jtjorger i don't think it is his bag on that picture :P

  • @Fressnillo yea you might be right

  • @Fressnillo lmaoo tour burner

  • @Fressnillo its a burner iron

  • @Fressnillo it's a BURNER

  • @lordsandreik yeah i know that..

  • @Fressnillo there the taylormade irons i use haha

  • @Fressnillo

Its a taylormade burner 2 iron

  • @stl300yards Niiiiceee

  • he have got nice gamex)

  • best tempo eva!

  • freddy is coo :]

  • What is Freddie's email address? I would love to be his girlfriend...

  • Oh, get in line please.

  • your weird

  • nono georgek817, ur weird

  • Love his smile

  • How does one meet Fred Couples? Does anyone have his email address? Do you know where he lives?

  • why doesn't Fred play much? I know his back is bad, but that doesn't even show.

  • he doesnt qualify for many

  • If you pause at 0:08 seconds you can see he plays all callaway irons and wedges.

  • Weird

  • if you pause at 0:25 you can see a taylormade tour burner iron

  • I tried using sand paper on my 5 wood grip and it worked for about 5 shots before it got slick again

  • yeah same

  • Migrane relief if you play like fred, if I played like fred, I would never have a headache again.

  • i think the callaway bag is from the other player behind him.:D

  • :07 his bag is full of Callaways.

  • I kinda thought that too, but i think thats someone elses bag.

  • that would make sense

    - but he deff has a burner iron

  • i love his swing

  • no he has just the iron 3 i think from bruner because it have more cavity back

  • at 00:24 he has the burner irons

  • for what does he need superglue?

  • Some guitar and bass guitar players out there who have heavily callused fingertips that split open, use superglue to get them through the gig. Never heard of a golfer doing it though!

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan did that, because his fingers would just get torn up.

  • Super glue would burn.

  • no not really i use it

  • He has one of the greatest swings of all-time in my mind, beautiful tempo and rhythm.

  • @leftygolf403 exactly. like poetry in motion

  • Super glue is perfect for paper cuts or any small cut. I've used it and there is no pain at all. But it keeps the cut from moving...

  • The Man!

  • Super Glue is a great idea, and would of come in handy last Friday while I was out on the course. UH loves you, and when you decide to retire, we would love for you to be next in line as our coach.

  • Once again, true legend. And look out, there's gonna be a trend of super glue among golfers.
