  • I absolutely can not stand Bill O'Reilly. He is nothing but a bully when he "interviews" anyone with a differant opinion than his own. After he tried to humiliate the kid standing up for his father that was killed on 911 in World Trade, I have no respect for that man. Even Geraldo has admitted that there are questions that need to be answered. Not this prick. Fucking Idiot. Fox News is no longer on the menu for me.

  • You need to watch the movie about what happen to OUR saliors on a ship off the coast of N. Korea. Then watch as Obama uses the information that torture got to get Bin Lauden. Now Obama is drumming the drum about how his presisdency is working. It's 2012 and the tortue camp is STILL OPEN and OPERATING. LOL, LOL, LOL

  • I want this video on my e101 phone.

  • This video went viral on Lilongwe

  • I wonder what would be the reaction if Iran openly used pictures of a detention camp for "suspected terrorists," ie, captured Americans and said well "we don't actually endorse torture but you know... we found out that the U.S Government doesn't like us much, so we have decided to take it as a success" I'm also not surprised by the joeyviolents erroneous spelling of a certain word. Quite enlightening actually.

  • lol "YOU DIDN'T ASK A QUESTION!"

    "YES I DID!"

    No Bill, you didn't.

  • Enhanced interrogation techniques at the Department of Love.

  • And yet it's effectiveness has lead us to bin laden. Liberal viewer=failure.

  • no, we simply shouldnt talk about it... look the other way so long as it isnt americans

  • If I just posted like 40 comments I apologize. Youtube says it's posted the message over and over in my channel, but it doesn't show up here and I get the "Error, try again" message.

  • @knowwaie I agree it is absurd trying to deal with fanatics. But the comment about failing to bring peace is about broken promises we've made to places like Afghanistan, leaving these people in a horrible condition. We just don't do what we say we're going to alot of the time.

The Geneva Convention states that torture is not allowed between all signing parties.

The ethical question with torture is still the most important issue. Should we do it? I say it's incredibly dangerous to do so.

  • You may be killed? I added a questionmark to make it a question.

  • I think anyone who is opposed to our methods of interrogation, which are intended to catch known murders, should themselves prosecuted for attempting to aid and abet those murderers.

You can't take these Liberal faggots seriously. You would probably say yelling at someone too loud is also torture because it 'hurts their ear drums'

Get out of here Liberalviewer. You're a whiny little bitch.

  • @knowwaie looks like your the whiny little bitch.bitch .you love fags don't you bitch.how many times do you go down a week .do you like it when they are old or young bitch

  • @moecat1000 Aww, did i hurt your feelings? If i continue insulting you will that also be considered torture?

  • @knowwaie loser

  • @knowwaie Hopefully you get to experience it yourself some day, instead of basing your argument off of nothing more substantive than the thoughts running through your head.

  • @Koshy2 Experience what? Torture? I know what water boarding feels like. I've almost drown before. I've experienced all sorts of torture. It's part of life.

Just trust me. You and all these liberals are faggots. You're all crying about a relatively painless procedure used on terrorists.

  • @knowwaie Yeah bro, you're so fucking badass, you're so fucking awesome. You can take any torture there is. I get it bro, you're real cool.

Also, do you not realize the danger in what you're saying? These are your rights as well. These are our rights.

I can't help if you personally live in an action movie with no real people or lifelong consequences, but the rest of us inhabit reality.

If all you can come up with is some more faggots and bullshit save yourself the time.

  • 8th amendment: "cruel and unusual punishment"

First of all, this isn't punishment. This is interrogation. We interrogate murderers and accomplices of murder. Murderers don't have rights. If you take another person's right to life then you forfeit yours. My rights are not threatened because i haven't murdered anyone.

Keep in mind when defining cruel and unusual punishment, those same people who wrote that advocated public execution. Cruel is to torture for no other reason but to cause pain.

  • @knowwaie There's alot of debate on whether or not it works and what kind of effect it has on testimony. I oppose torture on principle. We are incredibly hypocritical when you start looking at alot of our world dealings, failing to meet promises, failing to stabilize situations, failing to bring peace, exporting nearly slave jobs, etc.

We signed an agreement to keep Americans from being tortured, on a common understanding that torture is bad.

I don't see why we should go backwards.

  • I'm glad somebody actually does research

  • you pinhead

  • Liberal viewer present

  • Yeah, it's working great! How many guys do you think they asked "WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN?" as they kick the shit out of them.

  • our nation is righteous under god, cia are sheild of faith and trust

  • No Spin? Want to buy a bridge in NYC?

  • Jami: You didn't ask a question!

O'Retard: I DID! YOU MAY BE KILLED! YOU MAY BE KILLED!

What Jami Thinks: Why did I agree to be tortured by this idiot and his "questions."

  • "you didnt make a question you made a statement" "it was a question 'you might be killed(...)'" someone needs to explain to bill what a question is...

  • O´reilly clearly shows how to use the media. "Once you pop you can never stop".

  • <3 yet another O'Reilly lie exposed <3

  • I secretly wish that somebody take that O'Reilly scambag and give him a dose of his own medicine . . . . torture the hell out of him

  • Waterboard them.

  • God, I hate when people say "well it worked". If I wanted to have sex with a girl, and I rape her, I get to have sex with her. Do I then say, well it worked?

  • @drew335533 if your a psychopath you might say that. but thats just my opinion.

  • @drew335533 TECHNICALLY, yes.

  • Actually, there are war criminals more than enough to go around. Don't you think we should do a top down cleanse? see:

    watch?v=68_3rjp0Rkw&playnext_from=TL&videos=ean0jmdWAIY

  • YOU MAY BE KILLED! come on, it's a yes-or-no question

  • YOU MAY BE KILLLLLEEEDDD!!!!!!!

  • It's true, I may be killed?

  • @Makirach

Yes, it is absolutely true you may be killed. You may also be showered in chocolate kisses, delicious chocolate kisses. Think about it. Chocolate Kisses. Yeah, makes you think. Sure does. Faux News Exclusive. You will probably be showered in chocolate kisses!!! Time to panic!!! THE CHOCOLATE KISSES!!!

  • I MAY BE KILLED!!!

Torture is badly flawed even if you get results the guy could just be telling you what he thinks you want to hear.

Add to that the breach of common decency required to inflict such a degree of pain/discomfort on a sentient being and you have a solid case for dismissing torture from any civilised investigation.

  • uh no they can't

    sorry

  • what can i do about it?

  • By the way this Mc F*ck has never been tortuered all he knows is his ego and the secretary whom he like to rape!

  • F*ck the Patriot Act and F*ck Bush and the Illuminati/Satanic NWO! Jesus will prevail Evil scumbag rotten lying shitheads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol.....I guess it's good that you're talkin about Jesus....but cussing at the same time???

I dont thing that helps you at all

  • China has taken over as the #1 economic superpower and the US will never be the same

  • We are on to you guys! You will be defeated!

  • Progressive communists...we are on to you guys! Go Bill O'Reilly we love you so much! Holder is out to destroy us!

  • I can't believe this torture disgrace was committed by our military.... well, sadly, I suppose that is the kind of "Liberty" that we spread to 3rd world countries...... And then, O'Reily says it's a success..... that just shows how low our country's gone, I guess.

  • I actually read this document and I remember the statement that "detainees are willing to give up information when reaching certain level of uncomfort," and that the EIT's were used "not as used when described with the DoJ"

Perhaps you should also do a video on the changing of procedures allowed by the CIA as the EIT was reinstated in 2001.

  • if thought i was going to be drowned, then id tell them anything they want to hear,id just make shit up, thats why torture doesnt work.

  • Can't comment or I may be killed oh this dude below me got it from modern warfare

  • 2001: Al-Qaida kills 3000 Americans on 911. We invade Al-Qaida in Afghanistan, and torture tells us Saddam Hussein had something to do with it. We kill 500,000 Iraqi's, including 100,000 children, and 5000 Americans, and figure out that the intelligence was wrong.

2009: A Nigerian tries to blow up an airplane from Amsterdam, and Pat Buchanan says: torture him.

Are some people just permanently clueless?? Or are they secretly looking for an excuse to cook children in depleted Uranium?

  • @ubrew12

    Source for those figures, please

  • @ubrew12 I couldn't have said it better.

  • @ubrew12 And where exactly are you getting this from? I'd like to know how you know exactly how many Afghanistan people were killed and how you know that this information was wrong

  • @ubrew12 SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT DEPLETED URANIUM

  • There's better ways of getting information than subjecting one to excrutiating suffering.

  • The problem is that the suffering causes them to focus with extreme prejudice on just WHAT it is you want to hear. Once they figure that out (and BELIEVE ME, they WANT to figure that out) they will give you EXACTLY what you wanted to hear. Namely, that Angelina Jolie is the Ayatolla Khomeini's secret love child and that Jennifer Aniston is fated to be your bride.

  • Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

    Ben Franklin

  • what the fuck do you know ?

being a US soldier only means 1) you were dumb enough to go to war 2) your views on the subject are biased.

its like hearing from a crack-head that heroin saves lives, great fucking argument

  • hey big word liberal leave the United states ..ur a depressed piece of garbage and ur lucky i dont use my 2nd ammendment rights and terminate u...ur pathetic!!US army the reason y u have the freedom u have!!

  • @ mtsdude24: And you exemplify the same "If you say anything I don't agree with you die" standard as our proud military. This is the reason our country has close to zero respect from anyone.

  • u have just proven my point we shouldnt give a damn about respect from other countries thats why we are in the position we are in now!!

  • @ mtsudude24: If we gave "a damn about respect from other countries," we wouldn't have invaded ANY countries, and hence we WOULD not be in said situation.

  • @rapzeh4

    1) he never said he was in the army (i don't think he would qualify with spelling like that)

    2) The US army is all VOLUNTEERS, and they don't chose to go to war. You should respect that.

    3) they might be biased, but they are at least informed, unlike your comment here.

    4) without the US army, people like you wouldn't be able to make blanket statements like this.

    5) nit-pick: a crack-head is addicted to cocaine, not heroin.

I'm Canandian and know this. that's sad.

  • The US army is made out of Mercenaries, which get paid to go to war.

Volunteers *choose* to go to war, do a job, plant a tree etc. That's the definition of volunteers, to choose to do an action not 'cos you're ordered to, but because you want to, without earning income back of course.

  • I was in the army 11 bravo infantry and this a bolg not a term paper who cares about spelling!!

  • @mtsudude24 What's a bolg?

  • look I am done arguing with people on this thing, its a waste of time and it gets nothin solved!

  • @mtsudude24

Assuming that the intel you received was in fact helpful, although soldiers are often misinformed by commanding officers to raise will to fight and manipulate them.

Torture doesn't help, if you "pretend" to drown a guy, constant feelings of suffocation will get him to say anything even if it's not legitimate intel.

  • You know, when I was growing up, I was pretty much absolutely sure that the U.S. would never openly advocate torture.

I mean, I'm used to being wrong, but I'm still trying to come to grips with the fact that we seem to be the bad guy in this story. :(

  • I know exactly what you mean. I was never so deeply ashamed to be an American until it turned out we tortured people as a matter of policy, and used extreme rendition to send them to US sanctioned secret gulags elsewhere around the world for torture we couldn't sanction on US soil. It is sick, and sicker still WE were the ones doing it. How has the US has fallen into such depravity?

  • US is always the damn bad guy, and I'm almost ashamed to live here.

    My Yahoo name is Half_Proud_American

    :D

  • If we suspect that people from the CIA haved commited illegal acts, and torture is illegal, then it should of course be investigated.

  • ........................ so I guess the end justifyies the means. Because the effectiveness of torture was great, should it mean that the end justify the means? What comtempt and unfair treatment of natives of other countries. If that same "enhanced interrogation" was conducted on Americans, I wonder what Americans would have to say about that situation.

  • O'Reilly is a fuck wit

  • Your emotional argument for torture is irrelevant because torture does not work. You need to argue for the efficacy of torture, then convince others that it is ok in certain situations. If it worked I wouldn't be horribly opposed for very limited situations. However, it does not work, and it has been shown over and over again that it does not.

  • Reports show it does work, and other show it does not work. Its your choice to believe which one.

  • Well then, I think I might just have to side with the group that says to not torture people ;)

  • @ dijhili: I would like to see these "reports" that say torture works.... because it typically only brings out a false confession... think about it.... if some guy was water boarding you, and he asked you if you committed a crime, would you rather endure some more near-drowning, or simply say," I did it." ?

  • Well heres the hypocrisy. We tortured these terrorist to get false information (like the link between Iraq and Al'Qaeda) to start a war with a country who had no intentions on attack us. We executed Saddam for killing and torturing his own people with methods like WATER BOARDING, electric shock, the list goes on and on. Then we condemn him on torture but when we do it, its A okay. I don't see the logic in that. Then you make up this lame "Scare tactic" scenario. Oh Please cry me a river.

  • there is also proof from the military that mild torture works and has yielded valuable information. Depends on the source !

  • @ dijhili: What if we waterboarded YOU?? THEN would you consider it torture? And even if it's not, and even if the guy is a "wack job," torture is still wrong.

  • @darknut79 yeah waterboard this them and try and get information that they dont know about them. and tell them it wont stop until they tell you everything...

  • I just wish we could water board Pelosi ! I dream of that day !

  • lol at the pelosi comment.

  • I love you liberalz always crying about FOX. Just shut up and change the channel. You liberalz have CNN, MSLSD, NBC, CBS, ABC.....so stop getting your diapers in a bunch !

  • @dijhili

Sooo you say just change the channel.....why are you watching this video its very easy to not watch it. Because you want to express your opinion on a current events which the Liberalviewer is doing. You should really watch your saying before you contradict yourself.

  • I think you missed the point of my comment, I was using the idea that you can easily not watch the video and complain about it. As for you being on the "right" channel you are either blinding yourself by ignoring the LiberalViewer username or just to ignorant to realize this isn't Faux News but an analysis of what it isn't, and that is a news station. And if by cry and bitch you mean making conservatives look like idiots, yeah that do that alot.

  • Yea..I missed all that....gee thanks for opening my eyes. I guess I should go to Olbermann's You Tube and bitch over their right?

If you think the conservatives are the only idiots, you have some serious issues. If you missed the Rasmussen polls, almost 86% of Americans have CONSERVATIVE views, not liberal...conservative. I think you meant to say "making republicans look like idiots". Conservative minds are the majority in this country, by far.

  • Gee sarcasm...cute. But again you fail to see why I commented, I did because you complain about liberals complaining about Faux by saying they complain to much and complaining that they should complain less...still with me?

Polls, I think you hold them to high. Polls are nothing more then small demographics from different sources, as sources change opinions change. Same goes to where and how you ask the question, I read a poll where 50% of americans think 9/11 was a inside job...truth?

  • (cont) I can very well assume most americans are moderate leaning towards the right. I also say conservatives because the majority (if not the entire) republican party are conservatives ...but I guess thats just semantics. I could also say that majority doesn't necessarily mean its the wisest or right idea.

  • FOX NEWS?? HAHAHAHAHA You would do better to get your news from Weekly World News!!! HAHAHAHAHA

  • Using torture makes us no better than "them". We can defeat "them" thru conventional methods - not cruel. We are above "them".

  • "you will not see this on any other news program"... because it's totally out of context, and untrue

  • Forget about the fact that torture does not work, it is anti american, anti human decency and a method WE worked so hard to outlaw in the world. But unfortunately we also give platform and listen to people like O'Reilly to defend the previous administration's misguided, inhumane and illegal policies and activities. Turn off FOX and get your news and commentaries from unbias sources which requires some searching. BBC is one of them and CNN is trying hard to be the one as well.

  • who the fuck pays worthless liars like this ?

  • Rupert Murdoch and he pays them a fortune...

Both O'Reilly and Hannity are both muli-millionaires many times over making them ever-so-qualified to argue on behalf of the common man as they so proudly claim to do...

  • Yeah.... well, they sure don't argue for "us" ... actually I can't figure out who they're talking to ? Hookers ? That's what all the chicks dress like on fox news (maybe they try to live up to the name "fox" :^)

This isn't real news and it sucks that people actually believe their shit.

    Peace !

  • No they speak on behalf of big corporations (who the "conservatives" are solid bought and sold by) against the interest of common ppl for the protection of windfall profits by the very few...

The only thing I don't have a problem with are the sexy ass news anchors.... At least you can watch Fox on mute and enjoy it...

I think the only reason ppl listen to Fox is bc really there's no one else talking...

  • Why does everyone at FOX "News" shout at their guests?

Oh yeah that's right, that only happens when democrats are on...

  • albania614... We executed Japanese for this torture, and for waterboarding-- didn't you see Mancow do his part calling it "a walk in the park"--gagging and asking the guy to stop in 5 seconds? (He was waterboarded to show it was NOT torture...) Asked what he thought: " It's torture". So, we took the LIVES of enemy soldiers who had done that very act. BIG deal. Not a minor incident.

  • i don't mean to sound like an anti American, but when u say that it's ok to torture prisoners in the name of national security, isn't it hypocritical to condemn the tortures committed by ur enemies?

  • look i am the son of a ww2 veteran. this is not wait i would call torture. wait i would call torture is when Japan filled my dads freinds stomach with water untill it was bloted and they jmped untill he poped like a balloon. blood and guts would fly every were. throughing water on someone face is not.

  • all i know is kahlid sheik muhammad, and the other "poor souls" that got a little water dumped in their faces DID NOT GET THEIR HEADS SAWED OFF WITH A STEAK KNIFE! how hard is that to understand? you cannot win a war being afraid to offend or injure the enemy! remember nick berg! remember daniel pearl! remember robert m johnson jr.! get your priorities straight, whether he said it or not, who cares? no one beheaded them!

  • You completely misunderstand the point. The question is not whether or not people were murdered, the question is "How effective is torture?"

The answer to that question is in the Office of the Inspector General report, indicating that torture is not measurably effective. End of story.

  • you also can't win a war in aphganistan. thats why they call it the graveyard of empires. every war there has always resulted in a bloody war of attrition that drains it's invader's pocket.

  • to use my favorite bill oreilly quote, "we shouldn't justify bad behavior by pointing to worse behavior." I think he was right to say that. The idea of America is fantastic but it is fragile. We cannot give away the moral high ground regardless of what they did. The terrorists cannot destroy America because it is an idea. When we tarnish that idea, they win. If we want to win hearts and minds in the arab world, we can start by being an example to be followed.

  • I have a question for you...

    YOU MAY BE KILLED!!!

Now give me an answer ;)

  • But anyway the network and O'Reilly is promoting that idea.

  • Don't you think it may be a little disingenuous to suggest that O'Reilly was saying that torture was an "absolute success" when in fact he really claimed to be quoting it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Bill O'Reilly OR saying that torture in Iraq was an absolute success, but it seems that it's going a little overboard.

  • Yeah, he did way more than say that he thought it was an absolute success. He gave a misleading citation to suggest that experts said it was an absolute success.

  • I'm not sure who is a greater expert on the CIA's interrogation techniques, their faults or successes that is, than a senior CIA agent in charge of interrogation. So, he'd be correct to say that experts were saying that.

I have no challenge to the fact that he was incorrectly attributing his quote, but it is a stretch that you should say based on that information that O'Reilly said those words in support of torture, which he did not.

  • I think all torture is wrong, even non-american citizens should have some rights like not being psychologically or physically torchered. Its part of being humane so there's no need to look into it, it needs to stop.

  • Whew Jami Floyd was getting angry there. I love the way she points out that O'Reilly didn't ask a question. i lol'd

  • Whats the name of this logical fallacy? "if you don't convict this man of murder, you might be his next victim!" oh yeah, The Appeal to Fear. Now the fox news version "if you don't condone torture you may be killed by terrorists!"

But honestly, torture has never been effective at doing anything besides causing more pain and hardship in the world. Back in the inquisition it was very effective for extracting false confessions from innocent people, history repeats itself?

  • Fox News should go off the air. Outfoxed documentary anyone? It depicts O'Reilly contradicting himself on more than a few occasions. Torture is forbidden by the Geneva convention. Enhanced interrogation is a rose by another name. The use of torture is a trait of civilization that separates a free society from a tyranny.... Defending Fox News makes you a clinical idiot, as per the documentary I saw.... Don't get me started on O'Reilly's rant about needing more faith to be an atheist.

  • there are 16 interrogation method consistent with the Geneva convention, why can't they just pick one from it.

  • Yeah, well, anyone who thinks they'll actually get an honest appraisal of anything out of Bill O'Reilly is a bit of an idiot.

He should've been a real estate agent.....

  • Two people were waterboarded.... Our navy seals MUST undergo waterboarding in training... The fact still remains that there have been no attacks on American soil since 9/11 due to the vigilence of our CIA and other governmental agencies that did their job to protect us. Success.. yes... you can take the plane, the train, the bus, shop,go to the movies, because intelligence collected prevented further attacks. You may not like that fact but it is a fact. Can't change that no matter how you slice it!

  • with this rock i can keep tigers away from your home, do you see any tigers in your home?... well the rock works!!

  • Wow LiberalViewer, if all this is true, you should go on MSNBC (any show, I'm sure they'll all have you), show all of these "facts" that you have and prove O'Reilly is an outright liar. Of course, you won't, because it's easy to make this stuff up. No mention of liberal bias in the media at all- just conservative bias at FoxNews, huh?

I wouldn't go to anywhere near the ACLU unless it was to take a dump in their fish tank.

  • oh you stupid fucking piece of shit redneck. go deer hunting and leave politics for the intelligent people

  • Maybe I will do that. You know, a lot of people regard vocabulary as the highest mark of one's intelligence. Thank you for making it easy for everyone to understand where your level of intelligence lies.

  • Well we've all seen Sarah Palin so I've got to agree with you on the volcabulary issue

  • Haha we didn't see it in any other news station because they know its BS Mr. O Rielly. Your clueless.

  • They shoud investigate everyone involved, from the bottom up. After all, "just following orders" wasn't an excuse at Neuremburg. Why should a double standard apply to the US? And don't forget, the Americans considered waterboarding by the Japanese during the second world war to be torture.

Bush and Cheney should be tried as war criminals. But that will never happen. Even Karl Rove seems to be above the law. His outing of a CIA agent has gone unpunished. Isn't what he did arguably treasonous?

  • In-arguably treasonous, rather. Gah.

  • Hey O'Riley ! The false information of Yellowcake from Nigeria came from a man who confessed under torture.

This lead to the death and destruction of and entire Country including 1,000,000 Iraqis dead, 5,000 Americans Dead, Billions of Tax $s, 30,000 disabled Americans and so on! Torture Works My Ass!

  • This is a good video. I have a strong disdain for those who misquote data and conclusions, and Bill O'Reilly is a class-A crank.

I would honestly hesitate to prosecute those who performed and authorized EIT's, not because I think EIT's are justified, but because I think the CIA felt a lot of pressure and guilt after the WTC attack. I think it's best to consider EIT's a mistake that shouldn't be repeated.

  • On one side it may be correct that you cant measure how much torture had in any effect of preventing attacks however you cant really feel sorry for people who light people on fire and behead people so as long as these guys were really terrorists and not innocents then who really cares even if they tortured them for fun. I certainly dont. Infact they should have let the 911 living victiums do it themselves. What the real crazy question is why are we at war based on 2000 year old fiction books?

  • "..no foreign country is gonna cooperate with the US in intel gathering, because they don't wanna be dragged into any scandal..."

Isn't O'Reilly arguing that you shouldn't investigate this because it might reveal a scandal?

    Isn't this advocating willfull ignorance?

And no, O'Reilly, that is NOT a question!

  • "Isn't this advocating willfull ignorance" Isn't that the GOP motto?

  • Fair enough! :-)

  • Haha Bill O'reilly "You didn't ask a question." "Yes I did, you may be killed! You may be killed!" The man doesn't know what a question is. Priceless.

And ColdCypher, they're not committed to killing Americans, we say that they're committed to killing Americans. That's a big difference.

  • LiberalViewer is starting to piss me off. With the O reilly making "sexist" remarks about Helen Keller by comparing her to the wicked witch of the east, and now this LOAD OF BULLSH!T about how torturing people committed to killing Americans is "immoral"?! Time to get the hell out of america u as$ sucking moron. When you PERSONALLY have a more effective alternative to extracting important information and propose it publicly, THEN you should start running ur ignorant mouth off

  • Project much, ColdCypher? Believe me, If I thought that the majority of people in the US thought as you do, I'd pack my bags and never look back at this wasteland of idiocy. Fortunately, we have people like LiberalViewer showing you the truth, and your spittle-inflected remarks are all you have in response.

If I were a right winger, I'd be pissed by how much you and yours have short-circuited, and are running around, waving your hands wildly in the air, shouting at the clouds.

  • actually some of the detainees wernt determined to kill Americans at all...they were innocent..

and actually acouple were american citizen ...

  • I love how Bill O'Reilly just starts yelling at the lady and not letting her talk. He just makes up bull shit and yells.

  • Watch Jay Leno's new show and you'll see the obvious answer.Besides, that's like asking why didn't the greatest movies ever sell the most tickets.

  • So why does O'Reilly have such good ratings?

  • FDR:"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." O'Reilly:"Start shitting your pants everybody. We're all gonna die,we're all gonna die, oh my, oh my.

  • It wasn't an absolute success when it came to protecting our Allies;Spain,England, and Scotland.

  • Maybe some will kill O'REILLY.

They'd shoot him, because he is being so stupid, that they'll have to shoot him, to keep him from being even more stupid.

There won't be much left, they'll put about thirty-seven slugs in him....

  • Oh Bill'O-ofah Lafel O'Reilly... 'You might be killleeeeed!!1!!eleven!!OMGWTFBBQ!' does NOT qualify as a 'question' outside of Bill'O land.

  • Liberalviewer,

I was wondering what you would say to the view that criminal charges should not be brought against those who authorised torture simply because it is more important that the truth is brought out. If we start prosecuting, then all the big names will hide behind excellent legal teams, extricate themselves of any personal responsibility and get away with it anyway, wheras if we have an amnesty then we can find out what really happened so it doesn't again. I am not endorsing the CIA.

  • Good questions, chazmeistro. IANAL, but didn't passage of the FISA/Telecom Immunity BS put most of the incriminating evidence out of reach of the courts/investigators? That was what I had read, according to G. Greenwald and other Constitutional attorneys.

  • "you may be killed"? wow... fear mongering at its best from o'reilly.

  • My gut says that, of cóurse, a thorough investigation is in order... but I also fear that so much filth may be brought to the surface that it may actually do much more harm then good to the West (and the USA in particular), creating a liability for current operations.

At the other hand, no or a cursory investigation may decrease our credibility, álso creating a liability.

I don't know... if I were a politician, I'd probably aim for some sort of token effort... And hate myself for it :-/

  • The answer is yes. And it's obvious you are doing some much needed clean up on these pundits. Keep it up.

  • I wish I wasn't a poor college student so I could donate some money to you for your good work.

  • Under Obama former detainees and human rights personal said "torture" under Obama get WORSE.

  • Torturing Iraqis was wrong and unamerican. Torturing Al-Qaeda is okay and should be mandatory! So it was half a success! Liberals suck!
