@killertrip10: As cynical as I am about the events that happened in the 80s and especially in the 90s in real life, I ofren drown my sorrows and inhibitions while playing games, and this one, as fuckin' hard as it is, keeps me coming back for because the graphics are great, the music is kick-ass and the controls are virtually silk-smooth!

they shuold remake these games but without making them 3d, 3d would just ruin just like it has ruined every other game remake u.u look at what they did to donkey kong, sure im happy they remade it finally, but its not the same, game play is a little crappy, they shuoldnt remake games unless they plan on doing a great remake

@ku5rai Megaman Maverick Hunter X(PSP) was a remake of Megaman X(SNES) with 3D graphics, cutscenes, Remixed songs, and a Hard Difficulty setting, not to mention you get to play as another character named Vile, and it was overall a better game, just like Megaman (NES) and Megaman Powered up

when i was younger i was playing all the time , i remember sometime i was finishing the game 3 time in a row. (and yeah hardest lvl for me i think it was the snake level and the dark queen ^^)

I mean that I beat the GAME twice. And for any of you looking to beat this game. Seriously, when you are watching the ending and it gets to the scene where you see a green targeting cross hair go back and forth. Wait for it to be on the ship and PRESS "B"! That is the only way to get the good ending and save the toad and that girl! I thought it was all over on my 1st play through so I only watched and wondered why they didn't shoot down the D. Queens ship....Because WE are supposed to do it.

If you can beat the stage where you race the rat that saws you in half on the (SNES) version on your first try, I'd be REALLY impressed. I've gotten SO MANY game overs on that damned stage. I beat it twice on the SNES. That is the only stage that remains HARD no matter how many times you play it. In the ending, you'll have a scene where the toads are trying to shoot down the Queens ship. when that happens take aim and PRESS B! I didn't on my 1st P.Through & got a bad end. Just a tip, there.

If you think the 3rd stage is hard, try the rat race level. Until I finally beat it, I actually deemed it impossible! I've beaten the game twice, now. Your right, memorization is key...but that just won't save you in the rat race! It wont. That damn rat can go TWICE as fast as your toad. I only beat it because my friend had a controller that allowed you to play in slow motion. I wouldn't even blame a guy if he did the 5 lives 5 continues code.
