It is a spirit that overwhelms us and takes over but which is a spirit the devil uses to trap or discourage to seek solace in anything but God. Keep letting God minister to you. Get centered around the things of God and that spirit will flee from you. When we allow Gods spirit in Depression had no choice but to flee..

There are several levels of Christian maturity and we don't stop needing instruction after we are saved. We need help sometimes to maneuver this world while still keeping the faith. Even Christians that know about the Rapture and tribulation period need instruction on everyday Christian living. They help to keep us on the path with their words.

@zevenech While homosexuality is a sin, your avoidance of having a relationship is honorable and I would say it is the first step in helping you get rid of homosexual thoughts. I just would like you to know though, that being tempted is not a sin, satan tempts you, you take the bait. And that necessarily having an attraction to a person of the same sin is also not a sin, it's acting on that attraction that is, ie lusting of having sexual relations with that person. Will be praying for you!
@zevenech Just know that we all struggle with something, it's our nature, but praise God for sending us Jesus "our Redeemer"! Sin is sin, there's none greater than the other and God loves you so much. Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 and know the Lord is faithful. I'm praying for you for I can imagine your struggle is great. "The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliever; the God of my strength in whom I will trust..." :)

This song is beatiful, and helps keep things into perspective. As I read some of the comments, it just seems pointless to argue over sin...which ones are worse than others. The word of God states God HATES SIN (ALL OF IT), and LOVES the sinner....which we all are. Whether people believe in God or not, choose to accept the gift of salvation and deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ or not..there is one thing I know to be true....He is God, and He reigns forever!

After I sprained my ankle 6 different times, he redeemed my tendon.
When I had a hole down to the bone in my leg, he redeemed me to walk again.
When I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, he redeemed me with the diagnosis of his Love.
When my vehicle flipped end over end 8 times, he redeemed me to walk away barely harmed and see my family once again.

This song has been around for years and it still brings chills and tears to me and all those who have the awesum experience to listen to not just the tune or the singer but the words. - to dearmartine - not weird at all because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is where I first heard this beautiful song 30 odd years ago, and it is still very much a part of the church today.

If we only open our eyes to God's love and realize that He is always waiting for us to come to Him, we would be able to free ourselves of the burden and guilt that we have in our hearts. He lives and if you feel lost needing to find your way, turn to Jesus for we come to the Father through Him. I know I am not a perfect person and I am a sinner but I know that He lived and died for all of our shame and that God loved us so much that He sent His only Begotten Son..

@MrsThewinningloser Just a thought-have you ever seen a small child REALLY LOOK AT A FLOWER, something we never give a 2nd thought to cause we are so use to it but that child will get a look of absolute wonder, as though seeing an entire universe of possibilities in one small blossom. We should see the wonders of God with such awe & maybe if WE DO, so will others. We all too soon lose the concept of the vast, beautiful wonder of creation-we must enter the Kingdom of God as a child-or not at all

@ritab8124 I love this song and adore Jesus! I also agree with most of what you said. I do, however disagree with you about "Joel Osteen types". There are several levels of Christian maturity and we don't stop needing instruction after we are saved. We need help sometimes to maneuver this world while still keeping the faith. Even Christians that know about the Rapture and tribulation period need instruction on everyday Christian living. They help to keep us on the path with their words.

I really love Jesus and I know that being gay is not pleasing to His eyes that's why i avoid having a relationship/sex with a guy. I know that God has a plan for me. Please pray for me.

@zevenech While homosexuality is a sin, your avoidance of having a relationship is honorable and I would say it is the first step in helping you get rid of homosexual thoughts. I just would like you to know though, that being tempted is not a sin, satan tempts you, you take the bait. And that necessarily having an attraction to a person of the same sin is also not a sin, it's acting on that attraction that is, ie lusting of having sexual relations with that person. Will be praying for you!

@zevenech Just know that we all struggle with something, it's our nature, but praise God for sending us Jesus "our Redeemer"! Sin is sin, there's none greater than the other and God loves you so much. Read 1 Corinthians 10:13 and know the Lord is faithful. I'm praying for you for I can imagine your struggle is great. "The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliever; the God of my strength in whom I will trust..." :)

This song is beatiful, and helps keep things into perspective. As I read some of the comments, it just seems pointless to argue over sin...which ones are worse than others. The word of God states God HATES SIN (ALL OF IT), and LOVES the sinner....which we all are. Whether people believe in God or not, choose to accept the gift of salvation and deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ or not..there is one thing I know to be true....He is God, and He reigns forever!
