Blender Spaceship Animation

I've been using Blender for about 2 months now and have mastered the UI and hockey's, How long does it take to learn how to do something like this? 2 to 3 years

Great work! If possible try and make the sun glow "disappear" for the second when the spaceship's wing covers it up (or maybe do some sort of god-ray thing). Also, Maybe add a little more motion blur. This is awesome!
