@23laxstar Oh yeah on their last episode they had some like MacBook or some sort of laptop that was glass and completely transparent, so when something's on the monitor you can see what's on it from behind it. It was pretty awesome, I wish it was a real computer, I mean I'd like spend 1-2 thousand dollars if I could seriously get a completely glass computer like that.

It's possible in theory. You don't need to remove the backlight, just the reflective backing. can't say whether or not he used chroma key

my friend did that to his od laptop right before he got a new one

u just remome the back of it and the screen it transperent but then it broke when he was putting it away.

so only do it if u dont care about the computer

Have you ever taken apart an LCD monitor? there is no way to remove the backlight without damaging the LCD screen, an LCD monitor would have to be specifically built without a backlight of some kind or a reflector plate (like what the older gameboys and calculators have), so it can be done, but a previously backlit monitor is unable to do so

If you look closely, you can see that the edges of the screen are blurry, and when he moves it, you can see it's really a green background

The video was created using a Chroma Key effect using a green background, I used to use a video switchboard with a Chroma Key effect and I can tell if Chroma Key was used on a video right away (it's usually blurry or staticy around the corners)

nope its not green screen.. i've done this too.

you take a pic of your desk then upload to your computer set it up as your background then put the computer on the desk and the camera at an angle, take a pic and u can see trough lol

Look at the video again, he picks up his laptop and moves it around, and you can see the background move with it, this is impossible unless you had a built-in camera on the other side of the monitor, and have the background settings set for a video background with a live stream from the camera, that is obviously not the case, it is obviously Chroma Key

yeah, easy to see that it's done with a "green" desktop background that is edited over with a picture of the desk without the powerbook.

Just look at the shadow effects from the app windows. It alters the coloration of the solid background.

It's obvious there's a camera mounted on the back of the computer's lid, and the desktop image feed is from the camera.

i think its done with video editing.. capture 2 different videos 1 with the laptop and 1 without and edit it to get your desired result. idea is great tho :D

Camera is on the back of the screen. It has a wide angle, and he adjusted it so that it fits perfectly the image behind it. Simple concept, and looks cool.
