  • The FairTax will set us all FREE from oppression by use of the IRS to control the general public and all business !!! I have given away 1000's of the FairTax Books by John Linder and Neal Boortz. Everyone who has read them completly has understood them and support the FairTax 100%. Please read the books, don't believe the hype. Find the truth and Join "Americans for Fair Taxation".

  • Fairtax fine print has a MASSIVE new tax -- on city and state governments, Massive!

No wonder they hid it in fine print!

"Under our plan, all city and state governments will pay to the federal government a tax on all their spending -- on all their purchases, on services and goods, including labor (wages)."

Fairtax -The Truth. Answering the Critics. Page 138.

  • @MathTruthTax was this quote part of the fine print?

  • Why don't you foul-mouthed people learn all about the FairTax before you show your ignorance. Are you satisfied with the 70,000 page tax code now?

  • Fairtax would be great -- if city and state government will pay massive taxes to the federal government.

Fairtax plan is for city and state governments to pay a brand new, and huge, tax on all their spending. Including a tax on their payroll.

See Fairtax Answer Book, page 138. "Under our plan, all city and state government will pay the federal government taxes on all their spending, including spending for labor (wages)."

Where would city and state government GET the $?

  • Thanks for posting this. With luck, we can bring the FairTax to a vote in 2012 and amend the constitution so it'll remain. The FairTax will reduce our tax burden for several reason. The tax will be spread about a broader spectrum; illegals and criminals will finally be contributing. The majority of tax overhead (compliance costs, filing expenses) will be eliminated, which will lower retail prices. The tax gap will be reduced. All this and yet the poor will be totally untaxed.

  • @PerpetualMotionTax They are saying the state and city will still pay taxes on the services(labor) and products that they would buy....not their payroll. Show me where in the bill it says that. Not some talking points site or book.
