Both of you would be surprised at how little time performers in plays get to get ready. behind that curtain they're doing other things and brushing their wigs are the last of their concerns...I doubt they even notice when they have a time limit till they go back out there.
Actually I've been in plays and I'm certain that the Sailor soldiers had time to have a person come and brush it a tad bit. I'm not talking about a a "brush brush", but just enough so that it doesn't look so bad. Luckily the wigs get better in later musicals and doesn't become a problem anymore.
What sort of plays were you in? Little High School ones or actual professional ones like these? I've been in both, I can understand why they wouldn't have time. Give them a friggin break, their wigs look just fine.
LOL, these aren't professional musicals (there's a graduation for these people if you've seen the last musical for Anza) and like I said before brush a little, not make them 100% perfect. I know that you can't make them be 100% perfect, I've studied theater and I know what can be done and can't.

There wasn't enough time to brush her hair.
And there's two Chibiusa's because they're too young to play the full role.
So one played Chibiusa and one played Chibi Moon.

Wigs are a pain in the arse. I doubt there's just a 'little' brushing to it to be honest.
