I was saved May 28, 2009 at my darkest hour as I was facing the destroyer I was as a blind kid crying out. No man like to say that, its the truth look at my name...That is what it toke for me to get to Jesus, I had unbreakble Faith in God, I learn the hard way but also I was bless for my love for God...I payed for my sins, so I may know the truth that only by Jesus you can get to God. Its sad others like my old self will not hear me no matter what I say...I know they will feel that pain also...

1.I too once believed in once saved always saved, but scripture readings, various books, and testimonies led me away from it. There is a lot of evidence against it in scripture, here is one: Matt 7:22-23

The danger of the way I once believed is that I thought some sins or iniquity were ok. I had a get out of jail free card after all and was not responsible to confess All my sins to God and man to receive healing. See 1 John 1:9 and James 5:16.

2.I am not addressing anyone but myself but the danger was in losing my life while in willful sins. See Hebrews 10:26-29

We dare not lose our life while in rebellion or lack of repentance. (Repentance means basically to agree with God). Gods protective covering is not over us if we live in rebellion or idolatry and he will turn us over to the tormentors. See Matthew 18:34 and 1 Corinthians 5:5. Jesus bless you.

MrRepent, I appreciate your reply re:"once saved, always saved" matter, though I could not disagree w/ you more. We do have, as you say, a "get out of jail free card," (well, costly to God, free to us)...that is the point, that we cannot earn salvation, as God's holiness standard is 100%, but that salvation is a free, unmerited gift, with *all* sins paid for by Christ, & all His righteousness added to our account. Ongoing confession of sin is valuable for fellowship & blessing, not salvation.

Does anyone else out there wonder why some people look beyond themselves for salvation? Is it logical that a creator would give us a finite span of life with intelligence and free will so that we'd close our minds down and do as we're told by religion, rather than to think, learn, and do things for ourselves? It seems to me that if the answer was as simple as asking "help me" then what's the point of free will & the ability to take action? Living according to our conscience is MORE difficult.

Heartfelt song brother.

One of the reasons many people tend to 'backslide', is their being surrounded by so many people, who are totally fine with being weak Christians. Somtimes you can measure how strong someones faith is, by observing how close they are to the 'front lines'. Couch potatoes for Christ for example, often times find themselves so far away from God, that sinful activities totally makes sense again.
