  • 9sec to 60mph and 26sec to 100mph. Not bad!

  • @NutStretcher 9 seconds, what are you on?

  • @4wheeler14 Count it. Simple. Your jeep is avg in speed its not doing 60mph in 6.2seconds it does it in about 9sec. Thats not slow for a vehicle of this type.

  • @NutStretcher I'm curious here, how can it take 26 seconds to hit 100 when the video is 27 seconds long and i slowed down to 70 by the end?

  • @4wheeler14 LOL you mad bra? Your truck is not a race machine.

  • @NutStretcher Nope cause I'm not ignorant, you obviously see that I'm right and have no comeback so go troll somewhere else

  • It seems like it definately pulls better in the upper rpm range

  • I have the non OH in my durango. careful with these engines, they have bad timing tensioners that run on oil pressure. and there a interferance valve train. just some advice because im doing mine right now

  • wow, this shit really is impressive

  • thats not bad check out my vid with my 4.0 ..ive beetn the v8s plenty.."my stock cherokee" is the vid of its acceleration leave comment :)

  • i raced one of these in my 2.5 altima. would've love 2 record the race but we were going 115 around a corner with bumps!!! it was about equal with me being slightly quicker. not from 0 but in the 40+ range...

  • @occckid123 Is it stock? I have a hard time believing a 2.5 can outrun a 4.7...0-60 for your car is around 8-9 sec compared to 6.5-7.5 sec (depending if it's a HO or not). I know the Jeep is heavier but still..

  • @4wheeler14 yes my car is stock his car was definately quicker on the lower end by a small amt and about the same in the mid range put slightly slower after 80 just slightly.. u could definately here the V8 singing!!!

  • @occckid123 Yeah when this was stock it did slow down after 80 but now with the programmer and mods it's quicker and doesn't hit that wall

  • @4wheeler14 My Niner needs a few bolt ons to open up the higher end, eventually when I get better off financially (got laid off so working piss poor paying job now) ill open it up a bit.

  • @4wheeler14

What is the 0-60 difference between the 5.7 and the 4.7?

  • @broskiskunk Stock they are both about even..5.7's run anywhere from 6.8-7.3 (depending on the model) and the regular 4.7 runs about 7.5 while the 4.7 HO is 6.7-7.0

  • @4wheeler14

Damn sucks for me since my 3000gt is right around 7-7.5 due to wheel hop and spin of fwd.although in the long run 1/4 mile I'd take it 5.7 traps 90 according to Motortrend/car and driver mine is 92-93 gotta get more mods lol.

  • @broskiskunk Well it is a 4500+ SUV so aero and weight become problems in the 1/4 lol. 90 sounds about right for the 5.7, the 4.7 was around 88 so both engines are pretty equal. The only reason the 4.7's can run with the 5.7's is because the new models are so heavy. My 04 weighs 4200 while the newer ones push 5000

  • hello i am from Pakistan...i have an 04 jeep 4.7. i do 0-60 in 9secs....can u tell me how to make it quicker ??

  • @nng123

Hello man , i'm from jordan and i have 2002 grand cherokee overland , the normal acceleration is about 8secs or 7secs , but the acceleration of mine is about 9secs also , there are some problems that causes the slow acceleration , one of them is the o2 sensor , if it's damaged it can cause bad acceleration , mine is damaged and i'm going to fix it soon , we'll see if the acceleration will improve ,

  • @jordan6500 thanks for your reply my friend but i think the 02 sensor doesnt make a big difference. the normal acceleration is 9 seconds if its stock. this guys acceleration is faster because he has added intake exhaust and chips. what i want to ask him is exactly what caused the most improvement

  • @nng123

Well the normal acceleration for stock 2002 overland is 8secs , i have a 2002 overland with k&n intake system and the acceleration is 9secs and it really makes me worry , i think the o2 sensor makes some difference , maybe i need a new engine but i don't think so ..... btw you can improve your car performance by putting a k&n intake system on the jeep , also sport spark plugs are important , and you can replace your throttle body with a bigger one that makes a difference i think ,

  • @nng123 there is a big problem if your Overland is running a 9 second 0-60. perhaps you have a build up of sludge due to oil changes exceeding 5000 miles. an o2 sensor will not make that much of a difference but will help, also check your mass air flow sensor. The normal acceleration for a 2002 Overland is 7 seconds new, maybe 8 seconds with some miles on it. but 9 seconds is wayyyy to slow. i suggest you take it to a mechanic and ask him to check it out and maybe give it a tune up

  • @4wheeler14 mine is non-ho. i did an oil change, throttle body cleanup, new sparkplugs, new air filter and even removed the muffler but i still get 9.0.... here is pakistan we don't have too many jeep wj so the mechanic doesnt know much about it. how do i get it to be under 8 seconds,,,help!!!

  • @nng123 it might be time for an engine rebuild

  • @4wheeler14 i only have 40,000 on it :s

  • @nng123 also remember that the HO V8 REQUIRES platinum tiped spark plugs due to the better performance cam from the factory. it would also be good to put premium gas in for a more efficient burn

  • nice, i got 6.2 seconds

  • @drippinblood28 Thanks man!
