It still gives me a smile when people say that Glock let Hamilton pass in the last corner in Sao Paulo 2008 deliberately. Does anyone remember the Italian Grand Prix at Monza that year, Vettel's first win? In lap 36, Hamilton overlapped Glock and forced him onto the grass at the exit of the first chicane. After the race, Timo swore revenge on Television publicly. Timo and Lewis are a lot, bot NO pen pals.
That is one of the best places to view the GP from. Back in the mid 90s when they ran the full cuircuit, the sound of the V12s echoing through the stands as they dissapeard up the loooooooong straight would bring chills down your spine.
Almost as good as when you go to spa. When they run through the forest, its such an evil sound i love it :)
Dont forget though, yes he scored points on his debut, but he only got those when both Williams cars were disqualified, plus the fact it was Montreal which usually only has 10 finishers anyway!
Not to take anything away from the guy, this year he has been a big improvement from the first races of the season. Better than Trulli...
I think I can safely rest my case after today's race, that those who put Glock down after the Germany crash were wrong to do so... He got his podium today out of pure skill, no safety car, no chance... Well done Glock! another 2nd place in 3 weeks time please!
woah! sorry! my mistake dudes, yeah he DID race coupla years back like you say! BUT STILL... I think it's unfair and extremely blind to lash out at Glock like that.. to have got back into the world championship in the first place shows he must have some skill (yet to properly blossom) as a driver... If we want to talk about poor driving style, lets find a few totally wreckless crash videos with Takuma Sato!
First of all, to the dude who criticised Ralf Schumacher, he certainly did not suck! some of the best overtakes I've ever seen have been from Ralf (admittedly when he was with Jordan a good while back! but nevertheless!).. to the guy who took this video, I'm SO JEALOUS! but, hard luck on filming someone's back instead of the crash!
As for Glock, give him time and I reckon he'll improve as his confidence grows, remember it's his first season in F1!
yeah sorry, you're right on that one, jeez, seems like so long ago! But I still hold strongly to my support for Ralf Schumacher and I personally think Glock doesnt lack talent, as pointed out in my comment above, I reckon he just needs a better car and more time to adjust to it. however, that's just personal opinion, it's all down to what team managers think in the end... bear in mind, they've not sacked glock... they surely must see something in him?
Its his driving style that punished the axle and finally it broke. Glock has sucked all year and this is not his first F1 year, he has raced before, doesn't anyone remember?

thanks for the upload u do better than itv, who go to a break as soon as that happens miss an intresting bit to see the responce to his crash. I hate ITV F1, went to silverstone the other week and saw glock spin in front of us and breaked just before the wall, it was put on tv in the international feed but guess were itv was in the adverts. wish sky picked up some other countrys tv coverage of it so i dont miss 15 minutes of every race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nah he sed on radio a while bak he wudnt and he doesnt follow it or even like it so i doubt he will, if he was however i think the sport would well and trully be ruined for the proper fan
wow thats gr8 footage even better than tv when i sw it happened i knew it must had been merchcancial aand how quick they got to him and was that a flashing orrage sign to tell the cars to slow down or stop, it wasnt as fast and volient as other accents i guess timo must had felt or seen a problem because martin and mark saiod he dropped it but i knew it was out of his control
Yes, they did get to him very quickly - although he stopped right next to a marshal's post! That flashing yellow light represented a waved yellow flag; this is in preparation for the night race in Singapore when lights will be used instead of flags. If you watch the on-board replay, it was actually quite violent when he slammed into the wall.

Why does the camera always pan down JUST as a crash occur?

Glock would not help Hamilton clinch the WC, they have been racing against each other in GP2.
Hamilton is the clear 2008 WC.
He is a blindingly fast driver.
He will beat "The Stig's" lap time anyday.

Gotta love the fanboys saying that Glocked helped Hamilton...
Are we forgetting he was the fastest driver still on dry tyres in the wet? No? Maybe? Almost probably... Come again
Notirez 2 years ago 3
you're right. I liked Massa to win the championship, and Hamilton got lucky. But Glock didn't help him, he was just on the bad tires.

Yeah he raced in 2004 for Jordan but he lacked experience etc etc (Altho he scored points on his debut)
But throughout this season...every race he has impressed me and im sure a lot of people...hes gona be an immense driver in the futture

Glock Sucks, he crashes all the time, He is no better than Ralf Schumacher.
Toyota would have been better off keeping Ralf Schumacher.

stfu you obviously dont know what your talking about. His rear axle broke before..not his fault.

Hey, you´ve seen the hungary quali...
And yes, he raced some years ago and he scored some points in his very first race at montreal.
Hm, did i forget something..ah yes. The suspension was damaged from silverstone and toyota did not replaced it for hockenheim.
